chapter forty one: ben

~The Next Day~
Y/n, Newt, Zart and Thomas were working at the Gardens. Thomas was giving on ideas on how to get out such as, 'climbing the ivy'. Newt got fed up and said, "We've tried it. No matter what you say we've tried it. Twice. If you wanna be of more help, go get us some more fertilizer." whilst throwing a bucket and a small shovel at him. "Y/n? Go with him?" She looked at Newt, "Fine. C'mon Tommy." then her and Thomas waked into the forest. "Where even is this fertilizer?" he asked Y/n. "Just over here, hurry up come on." she said with a slight laugh. They reached the place where the fertilizer was and began digging some of it up. "Thomas, you can make your way back. I'll be fine." Y/n said, he nodded and made his way back to the Glade.

About a minute later Y/n heard a twig snap, "Tommy, I thought I told you to go bac-" she turned around and saw Ben standing there. He was very pale and was breathing heavily, "Woah, Ben you okay?" Y/n asked him. "I saw you.. and him. How could you?" he grunted, Y/n was confused, "Ben, what do you mea-" suddenly Ben lunged at her. "Ben! BEN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YO-!" "Shut up!" he said, putting his hands around her neck and pushing into the ground. "B-...en... I... can't... breathe." the girl tried to say. She saw a large rock sitting beside her, she grabbed the rock and slammed is against the side of Ben's head. He fell beside her, she scrambled up and tried to run but Ben grabbed her leg roughly, "Ah!" she winced in pain, she tried kicking his hand which caused him to grunt in pain.

She ran through the forest with Ben closely behind, "Hey! Help!" she shouted hoping someone would hear her. Thomas had just reached the Gardens, Newt and him heard a muffled scream and saw two people run out of the forest. "BEN! Calm the hell down!" she shouted, Ben then grabbed onto her foot, which caused her to fall and hit her head hard on the ground, "Shit!" she shouted as she held her head, that was now bleeding alot. Ben was now on top of her holding her wrists down on the ground, "Ben! Get off me!" suddenly Ben was hit around the head with something, then she saw Newt standing behind him. He ran over to her, "Are you okay, Love?" he asked worriedly touching her head lightly, "Fine.." she said holding her hand on her head.

"Ben! What the hell!" Alby shouted, a look of terror shot across Bens' face. "No.. no Alby. I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! I didn't! I'm sorry!" "Lift his shirt, do it now!" he said to Thomas. Newt was holding Y/n in his arms on the floor, she was obviously shaken from the event. He rocked her back and forth slowly, stroking her arm up and down. Thomas lifted up Ben's shirt to reveal a huge sting mark, "He's been stung." Alby said. "Put him in the pit." Y/n was so dazed that no words could come out of her mouth,just sat there. Unable to feel any emotion.
