She shrugged as she runs to the washroom to change out of her clothes not wanting to look in his angry eyes.

As she exits, she saw him waiting for her but she simply lay down on the bed closing her eyes and she feels him lying beside her.

"What did she say?" She can detect the underlying anger in his words

"I don't know". She said shaking her head as she turns around

But he took a step forward wrapping his strong arms around her bringing her closer to him effectively turning her around to face him. She jerks and feels her heart in her throat when she feels his hand on her waist and another on her cheeks. His beautiful eyes looking at her in concern and worry.

"Please, tell me". He requested

"She said mean things, I am not saying them".

"What kind of things? Surely she must have said something for you to slap her?".

She huffed trying to control her emotions. He looks at his wife as his eyebrows knitted together with worry about what possibly be so horrible that has her so upset.

He didn't like her being upset.

He doesn't know what this is about and why he was so drawn to her. But if this is what his heart desires, he will not stop it.

He wrapped his other hand around her pulling her on top of him as he saw the tension in her muscle and face.

"Will you tell me, please? Perhaps there are lies and I want to be sure that you don't have anything wrong about me in your head".

She frowns adorably at his words, "I don't have anything bad about you in my head".

He smiles lightly as he moves a strand of her hair away, "Then tell me what stresses you?"

She took a deep breath closing her eyes and as she opens her eyes he can feel the pain in them which he physically felt in his body.

"She said I shouldn't have married a man like you who is not capable to take care of woman, financially and who cannot physically staying with her". Her voice was filled with clear hurt, "She said that she doesn't like how you have to leave all the work on your wife to do and she has to suffer for a long time for no reason".

He did feel hurt. He did feel hurt to have a repeat of those words to him.

He remembers being excited before he leaves for the army he takes pride in but he always takes pride in the one woman he wishes as his wife.

Sarah.

He was going to propose today.

And he knows by heart she will accept it.

He looks around the park when he spotted her walking just as gracefully as she always does.

He smiles like a young boy in love when she near him. And he was indeed just a 19 years old boy who managed to qualify for the army after a long years of hard work. He wanted to make sure Sarah knows that he has good intentions for her and if he were away for long which he cannot be sure about, she knows she is the only one he will think about while being away.

What he didn't know was that when he had confessed his love with the proposal.

The ring he wished for her to wear was in his hand for her to collect. She collected the ring only to throw it away in the distance.
