He fixes his tie for the billionth times cursing the maker of it. If it wasn't for this event he wouldn't have to wear these stupid neck killer.
His phone rings as he saw his wife name flashing on it making him smile as he answers it on the next ring.
"You are not blaming the tie and the event again!?". Her sweet voice mumble as soon as he answers
"It is the truth. If you didn't force and it wasn't for this event I would be in my regular clothes, in my house with my wife". He stated sighing
She giggles, "Patience. We haven't been away that long".
"Let me see". He said looking at his Rolex, "It's been exactly four hours, three minutes and twenty.. twenty-three seconds now".
She laughs her beautiful laugh making a smile come over his lips instantly.
"Don't be dramatic. You sound like Waqas". She said softly
"Don't remind me of that idiot. I don't even want to remember why am I in this event". He said leaning against the wall watching the people passing by but he would rather talk to her than entertain anyone else
"It's his wedding. Be nice". She said stern
"I told you not to learn this tone from me". He said frustrated whenever she demonstrates him
"Living with you must have some effect on me. Go live somewhere else and I will not learn". She said irritated
He smiles, "Now where will I live if the peace of my heart is somewhere else. Dil ko sukoon toh nahi aye ga agar apne dil se door hoon ga". (My heart won't be in peace if I am away from my own heart (her))
She bites her lips looking at the girls around her giving her a smirk, "I told you not to stay with Waqas".
"Please". He said smiling, "I can learn all of this own my own. I am a talented person".
"Learn something good then".
"It is good if it makes you smile".
"This isn't good. You are a grown man".
"Then you should have met me when I was young so I could do all of this but you didn't so I have to do it now".
"I heard you cursing me from a long-distance". Waqas said startling him, "At least do your duties as my friend on my wedding".
He rolls his eyes, "I think I am doing enough".
Waqas holds his phone cancelling the call making his eyes widen.
"You can talk to her when she comes". Waqas said walking inside the venue, "You should be helping around".
"I think your wife did all of it". He said shrugging
"Why do you sound like that?". Waqas asked turning to him
"I have been wondering what she saw in you". He said looking at him, "Then again she is just as crazy as you".
Waqas laughs, "You didn't imagine someone sane with me?".
"Not exactly".
"Be happy that your third wheel is finally getting married after two years of your marriage". Waqas said hitting his shoulder
"Thanks to your wife or I wouldn't have seen this day in this life". He said rolling his eyes
"If she hadn't proposed to me things would have been different". Waqas said thoughtfully as he remembers his wife proposal
