Here are a few pointers:

1- Zakir is from chp 53.

2- Everytime she speaks, it is a sign language. I don't want to mention it everytime, but the place she spoke is from her signs and if she uses a book to write it down, I will mention that.

She blinks her eyes as she tries to remain focused on the task at hand. Luckily, the car skidded off and now they were hanging on the cliff with people shouting on the top of it.

Stay conscious. Stay conscious, please.

She wanted to say that to him because he was falling on and off. His arms were barely holding onto her and even if she tries, she can't continue to hold such a built man for long.

She heard people shouting intensifies and soon enough more men came down and he was rescued.

She sits in the hospital room, treating her hand which had a deep cut because of the fall. Once she was done, she made sure that he was doing good before she went away.

All she knows is he was in surgery, but it wasn't that bad. She wears her jacket as the air starts to get cold, and she had a day off so, she can finally rest.

She went home, with her hair messy, her clothes dirty and her body tired from everything. She opens the door to find the usual aunties who have been after her head since she was born especially after her father's death.

"I told you to not let her go to school. All these girls are learning bad things from there". One of the aunts spoke

"She is right. Do you remember Ayesha's daughter? How she fought to study aboard and never came back?"

That was because she became the mayor there.

She rolls her eyes, entering the place knowing they will not stop even in her presence. They never did.

"This is all because they have not learned manner. If she had a father over her head, she wouldn't have lost her way".

"It was best for her to marry young. She cannot speak. You know how people these days are want their daughter-in-law".

"Also, her skin colour is not to the standards".

"And, she is in the field of men. Imagine how many men she is in contact with".

She slammed the door harder on purpose to show that their shit talks mean nothing to her. She locks the door so her mother won't barge in like every other time whenever these women feed her mind.

She knows something. The reason people were able to open their mouths so freely was that her mother never stopped them. It was her duty to stop these people and to stand at her guard, but she threw her in front of these animals to be skinned.

Not that she ever say that to her. Because, her mother never cared enough to learn sign language for her. According to her, she didn't have time and she didn't even know why she needs to learn it.

Her father did learn. He was rarely home because of his job posting, but he manages to take classes as soon as he found that she can't speak. She remembers how he would teach her the ways and those few bits of advice he feeds in her.

She sighs.

She laid on the bed, hearing her mother screaming to open the door and just like always, she wishes she was deaf too.

Zakir was the president's son. She didn't even know this.

How does she know it now?

Because she is sitting in front of the president.
