Chapter 27

Rana's Pov:

"Damn it," I curse when I look over the files.

"What is everyone doing? We are almost 2 whole days behind on this project." I see Prabhas come in with a few files in his hands as well.

"We need to call everyone for a meeting, this is ridiculous," He says to me and I nod.

I write a few emails to the people working with us on this project and get everything ready for the meeting.

"Got it, I want those finished," I say as I point at the screen.

The meeting isn't too long, but Prabhas and I stay firm so we make sure that everyone finishes what they need to.

"We are going to need to stay back a little bit to work on this," Prabhas says as he walks over to me once everyone leaves the meeting room. I nod and sigh. This entire project has been so stressful for the past few days. The people below us aren't helping out and doing their job properly giving Prabhas and I double the work. This is a big deal, so if all goes well that will help with the expansion of our company.

Prabhas's Pov:

I groan and lean back against my chair. It's almost 11 pm and we have finally finished and gotten head start for tomorrow. Ma is going to be so mad once we get home because we have been getting home at around this time for the past few weeks while working on this stupid deal.

I put my stuff into my laptop bag and grab my phone off my desk. I see Rana leaving his room and we walk out together.

We take off our shoes by the door and see everyone sitting in front of the tv. Ma looks at her watch, then us and glares.

"Go shower, I'll give you your dinner," she says firmly. I walk into my room and set my back on the floor. I grab my towel and go into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

"Shit," I curse when I get the body wash in my eyes. My whole body is aching and I just can't wait till I can lay on my bed and finally take a break.

I turn off the water and dry myself off.

I throw on a pair of soft black pants and a t-shirt from my college.

I walk downstairs and see that Rana is not down yet.

"Don't wait for him, you just eat," Ma says to me. I put the rice onto my plate along with the curries Ma made and sambar.

Once Rana comes downstairs, Ma tells him where everything is and excuses herself to sleep.

"I'm going to sleep now, I want to rest my head," she says.

"Are you not feeling well Ma," I ask her.

"I've just been having really bad migraines these past few days, and my legs have been aching really bad, she replies while walking out of the kitchen. I turn and look at Rana and suddenly feel bad. Once the two of us finish eating, we walk into Ma and Nanna's bedroom and see them lying on the bed.

"Ma, why didn't you tell us before," I say while walking over to her.

"It's not a big deal, I'll be fine," she replies while clutching her head.

I sit down on the bed and put her legs on my lap.

"Rana tell Shriya to bring you the hot pad for Ma's head." He nods and leaves the room. I grab the healing balm of the nightstand and set it next to me.

"Thank you Prabhas," Ma says affectionately as I rub her feet. I smile at her.

"Here," Shriya says to me as she hands me the hot pad.

Rana puts it on her head while Shriya sits on the bed by Nanna.

I continue rubbing her feet and I see her smile as Rana rubs her head.

"Thank you, this has helped so much," Ma says to us after a few minutes.

I stop rubbing her feet once she says she starts to feel better and Rana puts the balm on her nightstand.

"Tell us if you need anything," I say to her. She nods at me and kisses my cheek.

"Good night," We all say to them as we leave the room.

Rana's POV:

After a long day at work, I lay in bed and check my phone for the first time since lunch. I see that Miheeka has called me, so I smile. I text her to see if she is still awake and to my surprise, she says she is. I click on the call button and she immediately picks up.

"Heyy," she says once she picks up.

"Hi, what are you doing," I ask her.

"Wait can we facetime. I wanna see your beautiful face." I ask her. I can sense her blushing as she sends me a request to facetime. I accept it. She's laying down on her bed. I noticed her room. I have never seen it before. It is pink and very girly, not what I expected at all.

"Nice Room," I say while laughing. She rolls her eyes at me. Her outfit looks so good. She is wearing a black tube top and short paper bag shorts. She is smiling into the camera, and I wish so bad she was here right now.

" So... How was work today," she asks me. I start telling her about my day and how people underneath Prabhas and I weren't working.

"Hmmm," she says taking it in.

"I mean how will the women focus when you're their boss c'mon," she says in a teasing way. I laugh and ask her about her day. She starts telling me a story about how some girl said she was too skinny and was rude to her.

"Whatever, she's just jealous she's not as hot as me," Miheeka says as she ends her rant. Oh god, I can watch her talk forever. The way she moves her hands as she explains the scenario. I start telling her about the girls at my work who keep flirting with me. She sits up.

"Tell them you have a girlfriend," she says. My eyes widen. She releases what she says and covers her mouth.

"I um, I meant," she starts trying to explain herself.

"You are my girlfriend now, that's what you meant right," I say to her. She nods at me and smiles, her cheeks turning a little pink.

"Anyways, go to bed it is getting late. Goodnight. Don't overwork yourself," she says. I smile at that.

"You too! Sweet dreams," I say and give her a flying kiss through the screen. She pretends to catch it, lock it, then put it in her heart. Just then Prabhas comes into the room. He looks at the screen and shakes his head.

"Goodnight loverboy," he says and closes the door behind him.
