Anushka's Pov:

I run into the bathroom to find the proper bandage to put around Miheeka's hand.

"Done," I say to her, and she takes her wounded hand into the other to observe it. I am still shocked as to what Miheeka is doing here so suddenly with a bag, a tear-streaked face, and a hurt hand. Her makeup is running down her face and her eyes puffy from crying. She looks a little shaken up and I don't even understand why there was glass in her hand.

"Come upstairs," I say to her while slinging her bag over my shoulder.

"Go into my bathroom and wash your face, I'll be in your room," I say to her firmly. I doubt that this may have something to do with Rana, but I won't say anything to her until she calms down a little bit.

I open up my phone and see a text from my parents and Sam telling me they will be home a bit late. I set my phone down, relieved that I will be able to talk to Miheeka without my family disturbing us. I wonder if this has anything to do with her not talking to me for a few days, but she apologized for that saying she was just busy with work.

Miheeka walks into my room ten minutes later. She looks down at the ground and stands by the door across from me.

"Come here," I said to her. I open my arms out to her, and she walks into my embrace. As much as I want to scold her for being reckless and getting hurt, she looks like she just needs a hug right now, a shoulder for support.

After a few minutes, she breaks the hugs and looks at me.

"I'm sorry, I just," she starts but I put my hand up to stop her.

"Don't say sorry, I'm glad that you came here," I say here with a slight smile.

She sits down on the bed next to me and takes a deep breath before looking up at me.

She explains what happened with her parents. I am silent for a second processing everything once she finishes.

I look up at her, "I'm not saying I'm happy with the way you handled things, but I understand why you did what you did. You need to tell Rana what happened so you two can figure things out," I say to her.

"I debated whether to go to his house at first, but Shriya doesn't know about us and I didn't want to scare everyone there with my hand and," I nod at her.

"I'm glad you came, so we can figure out how to fix this. You can stay at my house for a few days if needed because you and your parents need a little bit of time to cool off," she nods at me and tightens her jaw when I mention her parents.

"I'm not going back till my parents can agree to cancel my marriage with Vijay, I mean what don't they understand, I'm not ready to get married right now, especially not to Vijay. I would never marry him." I nod at her.

"You can stay at my house. But don't you think you need to tell Rana and his family about this. Especially since you just told your parents everything. I mean you told them a little TOO much. You didn't even tell me about losing your virginity." I told her. She looks at me and says, " Do you think I should go to their house?" she asks and I slowly nod my head.

"I don't want to feel like a burden though," she says again. I shake my head at her.

"If Rana loves you, he would not see you as a burden. Take this as a test." She sighs and gets up. She accidentally puts pressure on her hand and winces.

"How did you drive with this hand?" I scold her and grab her bag.

"I will drop you and if anything goes wrong I am here," I say to her as we both get into my car. A few minutes later we arrive in front of Rana and Prabhas's house. I give her a thumbs-up as she walks out. I turn the car off and wait.
