CHAPTER 43- Don't Leave
Demi's POV
I woke up the next morning with a huge smile on my face in memory of the night before. Nicko was laying on his stomach, one of his hands stretched out to rest on top of my stomach, warming the skin underneath it. I gently moved his arm so I could get closer, and began to pepper his face with kisses. I felt him wake up under my lips, and pulled away with a smile.
"Good morning."
His eyes stayed closed and his voice was rough from sleep, "Am I still dreaming?"
I let out a giggle and leaned forward, kissing him with passion and letting my tongue trace the contour of his bottom lip, "No. You are most definitely not dreaming."
"Mmm." He sighed and finally opened his eyes, the filled with love as he focused on my face, "I love you."
I smiled, "I love you too baby."
His eyes slid closed as he let out a small laugh, "God it feels so good to hear you say that again."
I rested my chin on his bicep, "I'll say it everyday then."
Nicko kissed my temple, "We should probably get up soon, and go take Mia off of your mom's hands."
I nodded, but didn't move, "Or we can lay here for a couple more minutes."
He smiled, "Or we could go for round two?" I hit his shoulder as he let out a loud laugh and pulled me into his chest, nuzzling his face into my neck, "I'm kidding love, totally kidding."
I smiled, "No you're not but that's okay." I leaned up and pressed my lips to his jawline, "I just want to stay in our bubble for a little bit longer."
Nicko let out a deep breath and tightened his arms around me, "I've missed holding you."
I smiled, "I've missed waking up to you."
He leaned down and I quickly met his lips with mine, "You really have no idea."
I shook my head and rested my cheek on his chest again, listening to the beating of his heart. "Nicko?"
"Mmm?"
I bit my lip and sat up to look at him, "Am I in your future?"
His brow furrowed as he cupped my cheek in his hand, "You are my future."
I couldn't help my huge smile as I kissed him, but pulled away after a few seconds, "But why do you get so uncomfortable when I talk about marriage."
He sighed and looked at the ceiling, "Demi we've talked about this."
I shook my head, "No we haven't, not really."
He pursed his lips and looked down at me, "I've told you how I feel."
I sighed and laid down next to him, "Right. Just forget I said anything." He sighed and we laid there in silence, "Why are you so afraid of commitment?" I said, and sat up on my elbow, making him groan,
"Demi is this really how you want to start our first day back together?"
I shrugged, "It has to happen sometime. Now what are you so afraid of?"
"I'm not afraid of anything! Demi I'm twenty two. I don't want to get married so young and neither should you."
I sighed, "Nicko all of those rules don't really apply to us. You know why?" He raised an eyebrow, "Because we have a beautiful baby girl. Face it, we can do whatever the fuck we want."
