CHAPTER 35- Hosptial
Demi's POV
It's been weeks since I've seen Nicko. Every Saturday my mom drops her off at his house and picks her up. Ever since the day he kissed me I can't see him because I know if he asked me to come back to him I would be running back into his arms in a heartbeat. Slowly but surely, the pain was ending and now it was replaced by loneliness. Instead of being angry with him I longed for him, his touch alone could probably make me melt. My phone began to ring and I saw it was my mom.
"Hey."
"Hey Dems! Look I can't pick Mia up today, I have a doctor's appointment."
I sighed, knowing this day would come. "Alright, it's okay I'll go."
"Okay baby, I'll see you tomorrow."
I hung up and buried my head into my hands. The time was 6:30, which meant I needed to start heading over to Nicko's. I was barely paying attention so it was a good thing the route was so familiar. I pulled through the gates and walked up to the door, mentally preparing myself to see Nicko. Surprisingly, he didn't answer the door when I knocked. After about five minutes, I used my key and walked through the house. I found him laying down shirtless on the bed sleeping with Mia beside him. The sight made me want to curl up into a ball and cry, I wanted to lay down beside him and whisper that I was his and that nothing could change that.
But I would be lying.
"Nicko." I sat on the edge of the huge bed a few feet away from him and touched his shoulder. He wrinkled his nose and turned over, automatically reaching for me in his sleep. His arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me down, snuggling into the crook of my neck.
"Go to sleep baby." He muttered, and I knew he was dreaming. Hesitantly, I relaxed in his arms, and closed my eyes a bit, it felt so good to be held by him again, and despite my better judgement, I drifted off to sleep.

I was awaken by Mia crying out and Nicko stirred next to me. I looked around blearily and he stared up at me.
"Hi?"
I blinked a few times, "Hey, i'm sorry I knocked a few times and you didn't answer so I used my key and you just pulled me down so I accidentally fell asleep." I explained, calming Mia down by pulling her into my arms.
"Oh." He sounded somewhat disappointed and I stood up.
"I should get going, it's late and now she'll be up all night."
He stood with me and I kept my eyes on his face rather than his well defined body, "I'll walk you out."
At the door, I handed Mia to him to say goodbye and had to look away as he kissed her forehead and spoke in an adorable voice to her.
"I was thinking." I murmured, as he gave her back to me. "Maybe next week she can stay the night."
Nicko's face broke out into a big smile and he nodded eagerly, "I'd like that a lot actually."
I nodded and stood there awkwardly for a second before he leaned in and kissed me on the cheek, letting his lips linger on my skin as he spoke softly.
"I know you're probably done with hearing this, but I love you and i'm sorry." He pulled away and I could feel the tears forming in my eyes as I nodded and walked out of the house back to my car.

I threw my phone onto the bed in disgust as another article talking about me "finding another boy toy" and that I went on a date last night. It's all bullshit, last night I stayed on the couch cuddling with Mia. My phone buzzed and an unknown number popped up on my screen.
