CHAPTER 45- New York
Demi's POV
"Babe?" Nicko called, as I walked into his office. He was wearing his glasses, and in a suit, looking especially sexy.
"What's up baby?" I said, plopping into his lap and looking at his computer screen. To my surprise, there was a real estate site open, with a New York area code. "What's this?" I mumured.
"I've been thinking..." He let me turn in his lap and rubbed my thighs, "Real estate is always a good investment... And I want to start our legacy together. I want a place I can go to thats close to my mom's place. I have the apartment, but it's not big enough for the three of us anymore because it's only one bedroom... what do you think?"
I bit my lip, "You want to live in New York?"
He shook his head, "No, but I was thinking about a summer place, somewhere we could get away from all the hype."
I smiled and leaned our foreheads together, "That sounds nice, maybe somewhere by a lake or an ocean, for Mia to grow up."
Nicko nodded, and leaned up to kiss me, "Absolutely. I've been looking at a couple of places actually that have a lake and they seem great, only a couple miles from the ocean, in the Hamptons."
I giggled and bit my lip, "So we're gonna be a Hamptons family?"
He nodded, "Damn right we are, sperrys, polos, kacki's, the whole shabang."
I rolled my eyes, "I am not letting you put on a polo shirt."
He chuckled as his hands rubbed my sides, "Always lookin' out for me."
I nodded and put my hands on his neck, gently playing with his hair, "Always." His hands moved to my ass as my lips met his and I pulled myself closer to his body. Nicko let out a moan and I sunk my teeth into his lower lip, dragging it out as he exhaled. "I just put Mia down for her nap." I whispered against his lips, "We have a while."

"Nicko this place is beautiful!" I squealed, wrapping my arms around his waist and hugging him tightly. "It's perfect."
He chuckled, "We've barely stepped inside the place Dems, we gotta look around. Besides, you said that about the last two places we looked at."
I shook my head as I looked around the huge Long Island house, "This is different." I looked up at him with pleading eyes, "This is it baby."
He smiled and bent down to pick Mia up out of her carrier and held her against his chest, "What do you think babygirl? You like it as much your momma does?" He glanced at me with a big smile. Mia kicked her legs out, her brilliant blue eyes that she'd inherited from Nicko squinting as she smiled.
I took Mia from him, "Of course she does! She absolutely adores it."
We walked through the house with the real estate agent, as she explained the dynamics of the house. It'd been built just the previous year, and we would be the first residents, and I hoped the last.
As she left us to make a decision Nicko smiled at me, "So what do you think Dems?"
I smiled, "I love it."
He nodded, "Me too. Let's go talk turkey."
I giggled and gripped his hand while the other held Mia as we walked to where the agent was waiting.
"We're very interested. How much?"
She bit her lip, "Approximately 3.6 million."
I stared at Nicko who nodded like it was nothing, "Alright, let's do it."
I shook my head and pulled him aside, "Nicko that's a lot."
He smiled, "I know, but it's worth it because I know how much you love it. Think of it as your birthday present."
I shook my head, "My birthday is in like, a month."
He nodded, "By the time we close, it'll be just about then babe."
I sighed, "Fine, but you're not allowed to get me anything for my birthday. Okay? We're paying half and half for this too."
His loving smile shifted into a glare and he shook his head, "Absolutely not. You can pay for dinner next time but I am the dad, and I want to do this for my daughter."
"She's my daughter too babe." I said.
"I know that, but this is my present to her. Think of your own." He stuck out his tongue and turned back to the woman, "We'll take it."
She smiled big, "Excellent. I'll call you in the next to few days to discuss things."
As she walked away I put Mia in her carrier and turned back to Nicko, "I can't believe this."
He chuckled and walked around, running his hand over the wood fireplace, "Well believe it baby. It's gonna be all ours."
I let out a squeal and ran towards him, throwing my arms around his neck and hugging him tightly as he swung me around. "God I fucking love you." I whispered, and crushed my mouth onto his, "I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you." I whispered over and over again, kissing his mouth again and again. "This is amazing baby."
He chuckled, "Well it better be, because it cost enough to be absolutely magical."
I rolled my eyes playfully, "I'm sure our first night here will be absolutely amazing."
He grinned, "I'll hold ya to that."
