We head to the woods, we sit in our normal spots. I sit on this moss covered flat surface with a creek around the front. It has a kind of wave shape but with a line of water in front of it. Fenix usually sits cross the creek from me.
Today they sat next to me, we turned to sit and face each other. We talk and laugh about everything until I ask this question "So who do you have a crush on?" "Wh..wh..aa...what?" Fenix sputtered.
"Fenix I'm your best friend I know when you have a crush. So who is it?" I ask, leaning a little closer to them. "No one because I don't have a crush!" Fenix says as their cheeks burn bright red.
Someone who doesn't know Fenix might think otherwise, but I know when they're blushing. "Oh come ON your face is bright red Fenix who is it boy, girl or anyone else?" I ask a little more insistently. "Fine she's a girl and I don't know how to tell her how I feel." Fenix finally says. "She's smart and beautiful, but I don't know how to tell her," Fenix says after.
"Honey why don't you just tell her?!" I say in response. "I'm worried that she won't like me back," Fenix said looking down and playing with the grass near their feet. "If she doesn't like you then she's crazy you're smart,beautiful,funny, and your voice is amazing." I say. "Thanks, but I'm just going to wait for the right moment," Fenix said.
"Okay then," I said. We get up from our spots and head back to the car, we don't talk for the rest of the drive back to my house. "Bye" Fenix said. "Bye" I say. I open the door, grab a snack and head upstairs to my room. I do my homework, study and watch tv after.
I eat supper with my family tonight is Sunday school night so I go up stairs, grab my bible and a pencil. After sunday school is over I get a shower and go to sleep. Little did I know that the person that Fenix had a crush on was me.
