Not a Cinderella story but close

Chapter 31/ DISASTER party of 2

  We walk up to Bow and Rece and they stop talking. "Oh hey guys" Bow says, giving us a look. "Hey Bow can we speak to you alone?" East asks tentatively. "Yeah sure, you don't mind Rece?" Bow asks him. "No, not at all" He replies. Rece gets up and leaves taking their bottled water with her. "We have to show you something..." I start. Lace walks up just as we are about to tell Bow. "Hey guys" she says as she puts an arm around Bow's waist. "Hey, East and Fenix were about to tell me something," Bow says motioning to us. "Oh, what's that?" Lace asks looking at us. 

"Um...can we speak to Bow alone please?" I ask. "Whatever you need to say you can say in front of the both of us" Bow says, placing an arm around Lace's shoulders. "Okay," East says, holding up her phone that she must have taken from my pocket when I wasn't looking. There, clear as day is the photo of Lace and Liam in full brightness. "What is this?" Lace asks. Bow is staring at the phone like its' grown two heads. "Is this real?" They ask looking at Lace with hurt in their eyes. "Yes" Me and East say at the same time. "No they're lying" Lace yells at all of us. "Why would we lie?" East asks looking at Bow. 

Then they shove Lace away from them and grab East's phone. Then they storm into the crowd. Lace runs after them, but not before giving us a nasty look over her shoulder. We ran into the crowd after Bow too. Wondering what they'll do if Lace catches up to them. I see Bow get up on the DJ's stage and grab the mike from the DJ. "Sorry to interrupt y'alls night, but I have a message for my girlfriend Lace." Bow says into the mike. Tears in their eyes. The crowd is all "Awws", but me and East know what is really about to go down. 

"I loved you, you know, the BEST way that I knew how with Unes gone, but that wasn't enough for you. What does Liam have that I don't?! (they show the picture of Lace and Liam kissing to the crowd) Huh?! HUH?! And Liam I thought that we were friends. (They say finding Liam in the crowd) You were there when Unes died you knew how hard it was for me and you did this CRAP! It's my fault for trusting someone. I just thought that FINALLY someone cared about me. (they look at Lace) I guess I was wrong" They say and then hand the mike to the DJ and storm off of the DJ's tiny stage. They storm through the crowd and out the door. 

Me and East try to follow them, but when we reach them outside all they say is "I need to be alone right now, but thank you for telling me the truth" they say with tears on their face, they put their hands in their pockets and then walk away to their car. Me and East go and sit on the porch swing. A couple of minutes later Lace comes out, flips us off and gets into her own car and drives away. But not before I noticed that her mascara was in lines on her face. I think that now's the time. I know right after you broke someone up? But I have to now or I never will. 

"Hey East I have to tell you something and I've been trying to get the courage to do it all night. The whole thing with Lace and Bow just put it into perspective for me" I say really fast looking down at my feet and out of breath when I'm done. East gives me a perplexed look. "Yeah Fenix what is it?" East says looking at me. "I like you" I say and close my eyes. "I like you too Fenix," East says. I open my eyes "No East, I really REALLY like you" I say. 

"I really REALLY like you too Fenix" East says. "No I.." I start to say. East kisses me in the middle though. I kiss her back. She pulls back. "Now do you understand?" East asks me. "Yes" I say and kiss her again. After a while we hear a car pull up. "Hey sorry to break this up, but you guys need to get in fast so I don't miss my curfew" It's Iris and North with the car. We grab each others' hands and run to the car and get settled in our seats. I don't know about their date, but mine was ten times better.
