"Oh crap" East says to herself. She tries to think of a way to handle this, but nothing comes to mind.
Meanwhile Iris is back at her house feeling happy. She said I love you. This is by far the best date that I've ever had. I can't believe she won the photo contest at school. I know that she liked photography, but she never said that she was entering. She probably doesn't know yet, I can't wait to tell her.
Back at East's house she's freaking out.
What am I gonna do?! What am I gonna do!? She says in her mind while pacing back and forth on the carpet in the living room avoiding the coffee table. "I have to apologize and try to save what's left of my relationship," East says finally. East texts Iris "Yeah meet me tomorrow at the mall near the water fountain." "Okay, what time?" Iris responds. "4:00 after school" East sends back nervously with shaky hands.
I can't wait for our date tomorrow Iris thinks. I met East after school in the mall. "Hey" I say and go for a hug, but she stops me. "Hey" East replies while she motions for us to sit on the edge of the water fountain. We both sit on the edge of the water fountain. "I know what you did," I say nudging her shoulder playfully. "I know and I'm so sorry, I should have told you what me and North were doing" East says.
I look at her a little confused. "Me and North switched places for both of our dates last night" East says looking at the water in the water fountain. "What?" I say so quietly I'm not sure I said it. "Why? Wait if that wasn't you then......that....that.....THAT WAS YOUR SISTER?" I cry, after I found my voice again. "Yes, but... I interrupted her, "THAT WAS YOUR SISTER?" I cry so loud that the woman on the bench across from us turns to look. I look back at East after the woman shhs us.
"How could you?" I say tears forming in my eyes. "We just wanted to see if we looked enough alike to fool you guys. I guess it worked..." She says. "I.." she tried to start again. I hold up my hand. "I don't want your excuses" I say and get up. I turn back. "I just have one question" I say ready to leave. "What is it?" East says with tears in her own eyes. "If that was you last night, would you have said I love you" I say a tear slipping out of my eye.
East looks up at me and it's written all over her face. "We are done" I say turning so she doesn't see another tear fall down my face. I walk out of the mall and call Fenix crying to come and pick me up. Fenix pulls up ten minutes later and when they see my face they ask me what's wrong, but all I can say right now is "Please drive Vin Diesel" with another tear slipping down my face and a tired laugh.
