I guess I really was about to die!

I blinked a few times, looking back to see dust flying everywhere, making the road seem nonexistent.

I gulped down my nervousness, just then noticing the distance between Phoenix and me now.

He used this to get ahead....that snake...

I pushed forward, making sure to use every muscle I can to be the fastest I ever was.

What am I even doing? This isn't just a game.

It's a traffic light where I have to go right or left. But I don't really have the choice. It's about who wins.

So I better stop playing!

I tried concentrating again, speeding around rocks, downhill towards Phoenix.

Soon I caught up to him, being only a bit behind him.

"You caught up!" He shouted through the noice.

"Of course!" I yelled back while now kneeling down a bit, putting my legs together and my hands straight to the back.
The naruto run pose Miya taught me.

Miya was about to kill me everytime I failed but I got it now....I think!

This pose made me move down faster, leaving my opponent behind.
But he soon caught up aswell.

He's tough...

We continued until I felt a push, making me shoot him a look.

Did he just...

"Ruff play?!" Miya asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Seems like it...." Langa confirmed, clenching his fist.

Ruff play?! So he's just going to---

Bam...

And he did it again.

I went back to my original pose to get more stability while he continued pushing himself against me from time to time.

"Oi, stop it!" I kicked him back, making him only chuckle.

"You're doing it right now, too!" He shouted as he went for a harder one, making me slip.
Thankfully....I guess....the rock wall caught and saved me from a dramatic fall.

This although resulted in some scratches on my hands and cheek.

I was...let's say hugging the wall for a while.

It stinks....

I quickly stood back up straight, getting back my balance.

"That wasn't nice..." I sighed, following Phoenix close.

"I never said I would play nice." He commented, looking straight since a corner was coming up.

"Then I won't either!"

I speeded up again, this time doing a Casper Slide. Surprisingly, Phoenix did the same!

"Don't copy me!" I said, not looking back at him.
I flipped the board over again, me now having the lead.

"I didn't. You copied me." He replied, hurrying to my side.
