Third? I'm only in a 3rd place?

My eyes travel to the top list.

Bleiri and Gleini are top. Both are in the same spot. How did they even did that. They're not like before.

Sigh!

Tsk! It's bothering me. Are they hiding their powers all this time? Then why now? After all they've been through.

"Haaa! Tsk!" Why am thinking about that useless things.

"Brother. The Prince is asking for us" what now?

"It seems like they're making a move this time" Norgen Jet.

"Those damn dark magicians!" Xreiry.

"Don't worry. I'm just waiting for his majesty's order. I'll make sure I'll pulverize them like before"

"Killing them instantly is merciful"

"Don't worry. Giving them a painless ending is too merciful. I'll torture them slowly until they beg for a quick death" the glimmer in his eyes are burning with anger.

It looks like those bastards will have to suffer again this time.

"Tsk! They're all the same"

"How come?" I looked up to her who was  looking at the moon facing her back at me.

"Are you not satisfied?"

Satisfied?

I turned my gaze at the lifeless women beside me.

"They're not that good. The quality of their souls are not that great compared to what i had before"

I used to have women with a higher quality but not anymore. This women i had are no better. Their souls are making me more thirsty.

I looked up to her approching me.

"Oh my dear. Forgive me for not giving you what you want" she caressed my cheek with her warm hand while her expression remains the same with her cold expression.

"Don't worry. We'll find you something with a higher quality. A brothel maybe?" I pulled her waist and rested my face on her chest.

"Hm. But i would like it if you bring me a new one" i caressed her bare back.

"New one?" I lifted my head to see her face.

"I heard there are dark magicians lurking around the Academy" i wished they are women.

"Yes. Why didn't i think of that. You liked it if their souls are much darker and vicious to quench your thirst. Feel free to hunt if you see one"

"But what if someone see me?" she stroked my hair and held my chin with her fingers.

"Isn't that obvious? You know what to do? Just don't leave a single traced" i pulled her body and lay her beside me.

"That's vicious. Where did you learn that?" She chuckle as if what i said is a joke.

"You're a great teacher" i checked and kissed the back of her hand.

"I guess i am" i leaned closer for a kiss.

"Don't drain me" it was just for a moment when i feel something warm through her mouth. Like a thin air but warm.

I opened my eyes only to see her an after image overlapping her face in a form of smoke leaking from her body to my mouth. I can feel her soul quenching my thirst, but not fully.

Yes.

Consuming a human soul is what i need. A soul that is not pure. A soul tainted with hatred and other form of darkness, that...is what i want.

I pulled away to prevent myself from consuming her fully. I might loose her if i continue.

"My lady?" I laid down beside her.

She fell asleep.

Did i went too far?

"Sleep well, my dear lady" i pulled the blanket to cover her body then kissed her forehead.

Hm. I can only feel this satisfaction...only on my master's side.
