Kaden's POV
I couldn't stop the trembling in my body nor the low menacing growl that was escaping my mouth . The beast inside wanted to come out and slaughter the guy I had let live earlier. How dare that slob of a human being touch my daughter. I also knew that fucker struck her. His life was already nonexistent. Once I got Camille to safety I will make sure he lives long enough to regret being born.
I broke into a sweat as my heart was racing thinking about everything I just learned. The beast inside of me was restless, driving me to pace the corner of the yard. Fur bristled just beneath the suface. My fangs lowered, my claws kept slipping out.
I had to remind myself~ focus on my daughter's safety first. Then, I'd deal with that bastard.
And. He. Will. Be. Dealt. With.
Thats a promise!
Camillie's POV
I felt a small weight lift as I talked with Sky about my trauma, yet the ghost of his touch still clung to me. In the mirror the quiet solitude of the bathroom, I stared into the mirror~not at the hopeful girl I once was, but at a shadow haunted by yesterday's horrors. Unable to look at her anymore I got in the shower and let the water cascade over me, a desperate attempt to wash away the memories that wouldnt fade. I grabbed the soap and wash cloth and began to scrub.
I scrub everywhere his hands touched me. But I still didn't feel clean so I continued to scrub. Almost like a compulsion. I scrub over and over until my skin was raw. When I finally put down the soap and cloth I just curled up in the shower on the floor as the water rinsed me and bawled my eyes out and tremors rocked my body.
After crying for what's seemed like forever well past the water running cold I finally got out. I dried off, put on clothes and headed to bed.
I tried desperately to not feel like the victim that I was. I refused to be a damaged girl. I would not let him ruin me.
So I tried to think of anything other than today's terrible events.
It felt so good to tell Sky most of what happened although a small weight lifted and even heavier weight still weighed me down.
While still trying to slightly distance myself from everything I thought about the sound I heard while relaying my experience to Skyy it had sounded quite disturbing. I had heard a low menacing growl and it sounded extremely close. Like backyard close. I didn't want to scare Sky so I didn't say anything. I'm sure whatever it is will be gone in the morning. After an hour or so of tossing and turning I managed to finally go to sleep.
But the nightmares were waiting.
I was running down a long hallway. Tim was chasing. Hands kept reaching out the darkness. They were trying to put their filthy paws on me. There was never an end. I just kept running and he kept just barely missing catching me with his hands.
I jolted out of bed once again sweaty and clammy breathing hard.
I woke a little disoriented.
It was already morning.
But...
Everything was so much...more.
Looking around me, the colors were beautiful. So sharp, extra bright and vibrant. I stared in wonder.I couldn't understand it. I don't remember it being like this yesterday.I had to close my eyes, and open them again giving them time to adjust. I took a slow look around the room noting the colors and how bright they were, but then in the process I also notice little details I've never noticed before. Suddenly my nose flares as the scent of Jasmin floods my sense of smell. Sky's room always smelled good. But the smell was definitely over powering.
