Kadens house-----------^^^^ above

Kaden's POV

Should I tell her I'm her dad so soon? She barely knows me as her teacher. I don't even know if she'd believe what I tell her. That conversation would go just as well telling her she's supernatural. I have to think of something.

I glanced in my rearview mirror to see her doubled over with pain and dripping sweat.

"The pain... it doesn't last forever," I said softly.

"How would you know?" she rasped out.

I've been through it too—this agony is familiar, I thought. "Because I've been through it myself," I replied.

"And what is that exactly?" She croaked out.

"This might sound crazy but, you'll understand later, you're going through the change associated with my kind." I said.

"What change are you talking about? Did you do something to me? Drug me? What do you mean I'll understand later? Where are you taking me? Am I being kidnapped or what?" She suddenly fired off questions once she regained her posture again.

"Camille, I swear, I'm not kidnapping you. You're changing--and if I don't help you through this, you could hurt someone or worse hurt yourself." I said.

She once again doubled over in pain sweat running down her face.

"Just breathe through the pain and you'll be fine. Concentrate on slowly breathing in and out. That'll help relieve the tension in your body." I instructed her.

She looked at me warily and then hesitantly followed my advice. Once we got to my house driving the normal speed limit. I parked my car in my garage and entered the house through the attached garage, so not to raise questions as to why I have a teenager in my car, and I've never had anyone come over to my house before.

Anyway, I gently picked her up and carry her inside.

"Why am I here?" Camillie asked again.

"So I can help you," I replied.

I lay her down on the couch and go grab several towels. I turn the air conditioner as low as it can go because I know her body heat is going to be extreme the first few days. I close all the windows, to mute the screams that will soon rack this house as she completes her first change. I check on her to see she hasn't moved and go down to the basement and grab a masseuse table and spread the towels over it. I go upstairs and notice she's not on the couch anymore but has her hand on the front door.

She slowly looks around and notices she being caught trying to leave. She freezes.

"Now, now, you don't want to do that. I'm here to help you." I stated softly.

She looked at me and I watched her body tense to get ready to open and run out the door. When she tried to twist the door open I was already beside her effectively closing the door with my hand actually surprised she made made me use a little strength, hopefully she'll actually be stronger than me if she can awaken her full capabilities.

She glared at me saying, "Let me leave."

"You're not a prisoner here. You'll be free to go once you understand these changes and can control yourself around people—so as to not to raise questions or draw attention to yourself."

"I don't care about any of this shit, just let me go dammit!" she said, struggling to open the door, which still had my hand preventing her.

I then proceeded to sweep her off her feet down into the basement and deposited her next to the masseuse's table. I cupped her face, locked eyes with her, and commanded her to sleep—cutting off her screams, and making her arms go limp as they made contact with my chest in what I can assume was to push me off her.
