Kaden's P.O.V.

I focused on jumpstarting my healing, to regain my sight back despite the pain from repeated electric shocks to my brain and body. The sharp scent of Camille's nervousness filled the air as she threatened the Fae torturing me.

Thank Goddess there were no Shifters or Vampyres around—either of them would've smelled her fear and used it against her.

A few seconds later I smelled blood just as I heard and felt a body thud onto the floor. I feel the Fae's hands finally leave my head. I began to struggle to get out of the chains; I brought both my Shifter side forward. Chains are usually great at suppressing a supernatural no matter the species, but since I had more power than most hybrids, by being both a pure royal hybrid, as well as mastering merging both my sides of magic the cuffs can't fully null my powers. As I struggle to deal with the pain I also listen to see if she's still okay and breathing, tuning out everything else. Thankfully, Camille seemed to be calmer now and in control, with no sounds of distress or the scent of nervousness.

I smelled her still in the room with me and the Fae, but no one was moving it seemed. Ugh, I needed to be able to see. Confused, I completely focused my senses on the Fae. Surprisingly, I heard him starting to grunt in what I imagined—was effort, his breathing heavy as he began to smell like sweat even though we were on opposite sides of the room.

What could possibly be going on?

Regardless of what was going on, I continued to try my best to get out of the enchanted chains as the Fae was distracted.

My eyesight was painfully and slowly coming back since it was no longer being fried. I could only see shades of light, although completely blurry. I tried to get up off of my knees and was very disoriented and dizzy. I steadied myself against a wall as I eventually stopped swaying. In the background, I hear the Fae mumbling to himself, "What the fuck is going on, why aren't my powers working?" I smirked. I listen to Camille's breathing once again and she seems perfectly fine. Although I'd rather see with my own eyes whether she's fine or not.

As my vision became steadily, yet painstakingly clearer, I began to smell burning flesh, and Camille's breathing started to speed up before she let out an agonizing scream. As I stood against the wall with my eyes closed, I opened them prematurely while healing to see what was happening. My vision was only at about 60% restored, and it would have to do because Camille needed me. She was in pain on my watch and that couldn't go on a second longer than it already had.

As her screams continued my inner animal instincts for both my shifter and vampyre sides went into what I like to call 'Warrior Mode.' Meaning my body, which is Vampire and Shifter became One instead of being two different parts of me, elongating four pairs of razor sharp teeth: Two pairs of canines belonging to the Wolf Shifter (top and bottom) and two pair of fangs (instead of one) since I'm a royal vampire (top row only.) Each tooth comes with its own venom for the Shifter side and Vampire side.

As I heard Camille's body hit the ground and the screaming stop, Warrior Mode had full control, which healed my eyes . I could see as well as a human. I saw Camille's body slumped over on the floor, causing a surge in my strength to get to her as the cuffs began to budge as I strained to break them. I saw the Fae look at me and reach to grab Camille, but before he could touch a single hair, on her body, a pulse shot out of her body knocking us both off our feet. Somehow, the pulse wave overpowered the magic nullification enchantment in the cuffs, causing them to crumble apart. I sped over to the Fae who was scrambling to get up and ripped off the arm that had reached for Camille moments ago, covering myself and some of Camille in blood, triggering my throat to burn with thirst, needing the nourishment. My mouth watered in anticipation of sinking my teeth into him.

I grabbed the Fae by his shoulders and sank my teeth into him, as he sent a desperate yet powerful shock into my body, causing my knees to almost buckle, but my teeth stayed latched on, and I sent him a paralyzing agent into his bloodstream with my fangs. As I contemplate draining him dry from the lack of blood in my system from blood-letting (like reverse waterboarding but for supernaturals, instead of trying to drown me they bled me out to make me weaker), out of the corner of my eye I noticed Camille beginning to glow radiantly. The fresh blood boosted my healing, closing all openings in my body while working to fix the inside as well.

Temporarily mesmerized, I stopped draining the Fae and let his body drop to the floor. Instantly, it becomes hard to breathe, so as vampyre, since I don't necessarily require air to live, I cut off the functioning of my lungs as I watch her body levitate from the floor into the air while her eyes are still closed.

Her body levitates from a laying position into a standing position. and her eyes flashed open. Instead of the normal 4 different colors her eyes are (glacier blue, forest green, stormy gray, and hazel), her eyes were instead a gorgeous lavender with gold flecks in them.

She raised her hand as six orbs of power—Air, Earth, Water, Fire, Lightning, and a type of purple flame that floats around her wrist in a circular motion manifested. I'm awestruck— releasing the Fae, as I identified the elements, she's so powerful already, no other Fae in history not even Lily or Lily's mother (who are revered in history because they are the most powerful Fae) possessed the power to wield so many elements, and I had no clue what the purple magic was.  She is utterly amazing. She glances at me then zeros in on the paralyzed Fae, levitating his body in the air, he lungs cease to move, yet his heart beating frantically as he turned beet red before electrocuting him, then finally set his body on fire effectively killing him. She slowly levitates back down to the floor and passes out, and I catch her before she hit the ground.

It was all over, and time to go before more enemies came (in my already weakened state) . I gently set Camille down as I pull a vial of eraser out of my pocket and pour it on the Mage's body, and the Shifter in the bedroom, along with all the blood on the floor, before putting the vial back in my pocket. I scooped up Cammy and headed to my bedroom opening up the hidden passageway. I set Camille down before squeezing into the somewhat narrow entrance, and then carefully pulled Camille through.

As I head down the passageway, with Camille cradled in one arm, I opened up my hidden gun safe. I notice one gun is missing. I check Cammy over, finding my missing gun, and continued down the passage before the passage splits in two different directions. Grabbing another gun, I stuck that one in my back holster, and the one Cammy had in my front holster, and grabbed two concealable daggers. Once I'm heading down the left passageway, I stop at another more secure safe, using my fingerprint and grab Lily's present to Cammy and a back up for me. I slip on my back up protection necklace and my shifter royalty ring with my family crest. I also slip on Camille's protection necklace on, then head towards the end of the passage. I pull out one of my guns, just in case, and open up the door leading to my 2018 Camaro.

I scan my surroundings using my senses, and once I determined we were in the clear, I holster my weapon and put Camille in the passenger seat, buckling her in. I reach across her, grabbing the keys from the visor, and pop the trunk grabbing a blanket for her, and drape it over her sleeping body, and get eight O+ blood bags out the trunk for me to drink along the ride.

Ready to leave, I scan the area once more, and once I was satisfied, I pulled off—(weary and a little worried). Camille wasn't at all prepared as I would have liked her to be with her fighting skills. I didn't even get time to do any training with her, before they sought her out. She definitely needs training in controlling her enormous powers (while conscious anyway.) But its just way too dangerous for her in this world, in her infancy regarding her supernatural abilities...

So time to head back to our world... to our home.
