Chapter 33

Lillian's POV

Athena lunged to meet him in the air.

Their bodies collided, Athena was bigger and heavier.

Thomas's wolf landed on the ground with a harsh thud and hurt yelp.

Athena grabbed him by his back paw with her teeth biting him with no mercy dragging him before hurtling him in the air.

Thomas whined as he tried to desperately get up one leg dragging at an odd angle.

He didn't back down with his obviously broken leg.

He gained my respect for that.

He has mine too. But first I need to instill respect and humility into him. - Athena said angrily.

His leg was still trying to fix itself as he launched at Athena once again.

She side-stepped him and then slammed her body into his side and hip where his injured leg was.

Thomas fell, letting out an agonizing whine.

Athena slowly walked to him growling and baring her teeth the entire time.

When she stood by his body on the ground she took one paw and pressed her massive paw against his throat as she leaned in snarling.

Thomas transformed back and bared his neck, as he said, "I submit!"

The room got so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Athena didn't move right away.

She continued snarling at him.

After a moment passed she stepped back off of Thomas.

His body was broken and bleeding.

He was slowly healing already though.

The pack began to stand to their feet hollering and clapping their hands.

I'm going to release my transformation but I will still be in control as this next part is something I can do. - Athena said

What do you mean? - I asked curiously.

Let me show you instead of telling you. -she said happily.

Fine. - I said still confused.

As Athena shifted back into my human form, she turned the aura up to an oppressive level.

"Is there anyone else who wishes to challenge me?" Her voice boomed.

Every pack member pack that was standing simultaneously dropped to one knee in respect and bared their necks.

I looked over at my parents and mate.

My dad didn't drop to his knees but he bared his neck in respect of Athena.

Athena's aura caused Jesse to feel threatened, I could feel it through our bond.

My mom looked unfazed, and proud of me.

All pack members had returned to their seats, Athena had everyone's full attention.

"I am Athena. I stand beside Nyx. Lillian is mine. Challenge her again and you all will answer to me!" her voice echoed through the gym.

Surprised whispers at Athena's name rippled through the gym.

Thomas whose leg was finally healed turned to Athena slowly.

He bowed immediately, saying, " I apologize for my callous ways. I did not know the Princess had such a legendary spirit. I certainly meant no disrespect to you personally, Athena. I'll take any punishment you deem necessary. I would want nothing more than to be part of a pack with you as our leader."
