Chapter 22

Sky's POV

After picking out what looked like very expensive dresses and a suit for my brother, we were teleported into a ballroom filled with supernaturals.

Our guards teleported shortly after us.

I looked around the room and noticed all the stares. I guess humans didn't frequent here much.  I also noticed all the different types of skin tones and body types. Even the male Fae and Mages had muscle but were normally slim with lean builds. Vampyres and Shifters were absolutely ripped. 

Washboard abs everywhere, buff muscles for days. Now vampyre paler and a little smaller in build but the werewolves had classic washboard abs but they didn't stop at six-packs. And man every single male here, whether Fae, Mage, Vampyre, Shifter or a mix was drop dead gorgeous. 

I might have to find me my forever love in this neck of the forest.

As I pondered never wanting to go back home, the King and Queen stepped out from behind the curtain holding hands in glamorously bejeweled crowns on their heads. This immediately silenced everyone.

"I'm sure most of you are wondering why we have called this gathering. Well, we have a few important announcements tonight." The Queen began as the King helped her to her seat, before sitting himself.

"A few of those announcements require proper introductions." The King finished.

And he said this and a tall, gorgeous guy with jet dark hair with blonde tips and glacier-blue eyes walked out from behind the curtain in a black and gold suit.

"This is a name I want you to remember and respect. This is Jesse Valykris. I have already chosen him as a General for the newly created Heart of The Dragon Protective Battalion! You are here to see him pledge his fealty to the kingdom in his new position " the King said, as murmuring of whispers and confusion started while some clapped.

An old man beside me muttered," This kingdom is ruined and way too soft. Kids running squadrons? Ridiculous." He was dressed similarly to the new General. He huffed in annoyance and turned and left the ballroom.

"But we're not quite done, this soon to be general will lead this new battalion with two others!" he said. Two equally yummy looking guys came from behind the curtain in suits almost exactly like Jesse's but theirs was all black, both tall as well, one much taller than the other two. 

He looked like he was sporting a tan compared to Jesse with curly strawberry blonde hair and honey-colored eyes. 

The other being paler than Jesse with red hair and green eyes. He was much leaner than the other two with a goatee, they stood next to the King. 

"These two will help Jesse as his two Lieutenants of this battalion. Ladies and Gentleman Nathaniel Lykaros and Joel Arkhavel Sael'Kori. So without further ado I will bestow these titles discussed to these three you see before you." 

The Queen and him both stood up and the King was clad in armor right before our eyes with a beautiful golden sword hanging on his hip, as Jesse, Nathaniel, and Joel walked in front of the King and Queen and kneeled on one knee while bowing their heads.

The King pulled out his sword hovering over the left shoulder of Jesse asking, "Jesse do you promise to serve the Kingdom to your best abilities as the new General of the Heart of the Dragon Protective Battalion?"
