"Steve go ahead I'm gonna hang back"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, while things are calm I might as well enjoy it right?"
The older man nodded, waving bye to Lydia before driving off. She turned around from the street, smiling as she saw Sam approaching her.
"Well, we have a few hours to do whatever I assume?" Sam asked, wrapping an arm around his best friends shoulders
"Yeah, what do you wanna do?"
"I have a few ideas, let's walk cmon"

"Sam don't you think people will question why someone is flying around in the sky?"
Lydia Marie shouted as Sam swooped down and picked her up. The man laughed, shaking his head.
"Don't question it, just enjoy it"
The two flew overhead, noticing someone on the roof of a building near Steve's. As they got a bit closer, Lydia realized it was Steve and an unknown man, the man caught the shield before throwing it back and disappearing.
Almost minutes later Sam and Lydia had landed on the ground and her phone buzzed, telling her to get to the hospital asap.
"I'll call you later, I gotta go" Lydia said, Sam nodding as she took off down the street

"No no no no God where are they?!" Lydia Marie mumbled under her breath as she ran through the hospital, finally finding Stev, Natasha, and Maria.
"Don't do this to me Nick" she heard Natasha say as she walked in
"Time of death, 1:03 am" The doctor spoke
Lydia's heart dropped, realizing that Nick was gone, she could've been there sooner
Lydia followed Steve and Natasha out in the hallway,
"Why was Fury in your apartment?"
"I don't know" Steve said
"What happened Steve?" Lydia asked, only met with silence
"Cap, they want you back S.H.I.E.L.D" Rumlow spoke, making Lydia mentally roll her eyes
After Natasha and Steve went to other ends of the hallway, Lydia stood between, not sure what she was supposed to do.
