The Avengers were all geared up and finalizing anything before leaving for a mission. Lydia stood near them, leaned against the wall with her arms crossed.
"You sure I can't go with?" the girl asked
"You're staying here, plus you have your list of chores to busy you" Tony told her, turning to look at her and hand her a paper
Chores: Talk to Sam Tell him Do it Clean dishes Buy stuff for Saturday
"I'm ignoring these first three Tony" She answered, folding the paper
"We'll be back soon" Thor smiled at her
"We'll call when we're coming back just in case you and Sam doing anything!" Natasha smirked, waving at her
Lydia Marie walked around the tower, bored out of her mind. She had cleaned up, and had bought a few extra things for Saturday, so her "chores" were finished.
She picked up her phone, dialing Sam and it only took a few seconds before he answered
"Hellooo" He greeted
"Hey, you busy on Saturday?" she asked, putting the phone on speaker
"For you? Never" he answered, making the girl smile
"Well Tony's throwing a party so I figured if you wanted maybe come by for a few hours?"
"I'll be there" he paused before speaking again, "What are you doing today?"
"Waiting for the team to come back" She spoke, walking around the tower. She received an alert that something had been delivered, making her pause.
"And now going to get a package from downstairs"
"Ooo what is it?" Sam asked, Lydia spoke to him about some random stuff while the elevator went downstairs, and she continued speaking after picking up the package
"Huh? It's for me...i swear if I open this and it explodes you'll have been the last one to talk to me"
"I'll make I brag, but open it! What is it?"
The girl, after getting back upstairs, placed it on the table and cut the box open with a knife. She gasped as a smile formed on her face. Inside the box was some paper, flowers, and two boxes of her favorite candy. As she told Sam about the objects, she opened the letter.
"Oh my gosh you dork!" she laughed, realizing the package was from Sam.
"I figured you could use a pick-me up after the week you've have" He replied, smiling even though Lydia couldn't see it
"Thank you Birdy" she said, as she placed the flowers into a vase and put her candy away, she was alerted that the team was back.
"I'll talk to you later" She said to Sam, walking over to the team,
"See ya soon" he said and then ended the call, making her pocket her phone.
