Funerals are one of the most difficult things someone will ever have to deal with. Lydia herself would know. Seeing Steve so hurt, in so much pain, killed her. She did her best to comfort him, but knew it only helped so much.

"Margaret Carter was known to most as a founder of SHIELD. But I just knew her as Aunt Peggy" Sharon said as she stood before everyone, "She had a photograph in her office Aunt Peggy standing next to JFK. As a kid that was pretty cool, but it was a lot to live up to.. Which is why I never told anyone we were related. I asked her once how she manages to master diplomacy and espionage in a time when no one wanted to see a woman succeed at either. She said compromise where you can, but where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right. Even if the whole world is telling you to move. It is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye and say 'No,you move' "

Natasha had traveled to Vienna, for a meeting about the Accords. Things seemed good, until there was a bomb that blew up the building. That quickly was everywhere on the news. Lydia had seen and alerted Sam who immediately told Steve and Sharon.

"It can't be... Can it?" Lydia asked, turning around to receive no answer.

"I'm very sorry" Natasha said

"In my culture, death is not the end. It's more of a stepping-off.point. You reach out with both hands and Bast and Sekhmet, they lead you into the green veldt where you can run forever" T'Challa explained

"That sounds very peaceful" Natasha spoke softly

"My father thought so, I am not my father" he said,

"Task Force will decide who brings in Barnes" Natasha said,

"Don't bother Ms. Romanoff" T'Challa said, standing, "I'll kill him myself"

Natasha's phone began to rang, Steve's voice on the other end

"You all right?" he asked

"Uh yeah, thanks, I got lucky" she answered "I know how much Barnes means to you, I really do. Stay home. You'll only make this worse. For all of us"

"Are you saying you'll arrest me?" Steve asked

"No. Someone will" Natasha said"if you interfere. That's how it works now."

"If he's this far gone, Nat... I should be the one to bring him in" Steve started

"Why?" she asked

"Because I'm the one least likely to die trying" Steve stated hanging up the cell.

He walked into the cafe, where Lydia and Sam sat, disguised in hats and jackets as they ate soup.

"She tell you to stay out of it?" Sam asked, "Might have a point"

"He'd do it for me" Steve quickly said

"1945, maybe" Sam said "I just want to make sure we consider all our options. The people that shoot at you, usually wind up shooting at Lydia and myself"

The three of them shared a look, before Sharon joined them

"Tips have been pouring in since that footage went public. Everybody thinks the Winter Soldier goes to their gym." She sighed, "most of it's noise. Expect for this. My boss expects a briefing pretty much now so that's all the head start you're gonna get" she slid over a file

"Thank you" Steve said

"You're gonna have to hurry. We have orders to shoot on sight" she said before stepping away

Lydia sighed deeply, running a hand through her hair before placing her hat back on and leaning forward on her arms. She was not prepared, was anyone?
