15 minutes before the incident, outside of the auditorium.

"Boss, A1 are in their positions while A2 are ready to secure the targets outside. Should we proceed now?"

A person dressed in dark clothing kneeled with one leg and rested his right arm to their chest. They were lowering their heads in front of someone who seemed to be higher in authority.

The said person lowered their gaze towards the one kneeling and firmly said,

"We shall not. Wait for me in the target area. I must see him myself."

"Yes, boss. All glory to the House Escra"

---

3 minutes before the incident.

Heinly sat with Dainsleif as he thought about who could have framed him in killing Heinestus' entire family. But knowing that he was clueless about the world here he didn't bother in continuing the thought.

He looked towards Dainsleif and contemplated whether or not he should ask.

Dain notices and offers Heinly a kind glance, the one which Heinly almost melts. "Do you need to use the restroom?"

Heinly redens from Dainslief's question. Is he treating me as a child?

"Ah, no... It's about the case right now."

Dainslief lets go of the soft look and replaces it with worry. "Are you scared? Don't worry, I'll always be here with you. No one will harm you."

Guilt crushes Heinly's heart as his cheeks burn, Dainslief's concerns were sweet but it irritated him for a little bit. He's definitely treating me as a child!

"Aha, I know that well. But I'm asking whether or not we have identified who the culprit is."

Dainslief flinched as Heinly ended his question and stayed silent as he dropped his gaze.

"..."

"Ichi...?"

"Well, I guess you do have the right to know. You are the victim after all." Dainslief lifted his face, sadness reflecting his eyes.

Heinly gulped, he knew he had to be prepared for what Dainslief had to say. The person they're talking about now was threatening his own life after all.

"Right before the House Lainley burnt down, there were numerous reports of suspicious activities running around the neighbouring houses.

Witnesses say that some men in black clothing were carrying boxes, delivering them under an anonymous name to the house Lainley under the context of delivering gifts sent by the youngest master... Which would be you."

Some men in black... The thought made Heinly's heartbeat raise. Out of all the information Dainsleif dropped it was that specific detail that shook Heinly. He shouldn't be too hasty though, he listened carefully to what Dainslief had to say next.

"Those boxes were taken in the house by house staff, and while they were busy, the men in black had placed boxes in hidden corners around the house.

None of the staff didn't notice until the smell of gunpowder was emitting from the boxes. It was too late when they realised. The boxes exploded."

Heinly held his breath in, no wonder Heinestus's parents couldn't reach out to him when he was held wanted.

"But who really sent those boxes?" Heinly asked, anticipating.

Dainsleif looked at Heinly once more and continued. "Though most of the boxes after the incident were destroyed, there were some that didn't explode. They investigated the box and found strange markings on the inside.

The markings read as, 'Glory to the House Escra'"

Almost immediately, a loud explosion is heard at the entrance to the auditorium, followed by gunshots ringing out across the top and sides of the venue, as well as smog spreading throughout.

Both Heinly and Dainsleif were alarmed. Dain tried to navigate through the smog to try and grab Heinly away.

"Heinly, let's leave!"

Dainslief screamed, but unfortunately Heinly was sensitive towards the smog which resulted in him coughing his heart out and slowed him down. Heinly reached out towards the position where Dainslief was to follow him, and a hand grabbed his wrist.

Heinly inwardly felt a relief as he felt Dainslief holding his hand. But when his vision cleared up, it wasn't the man Heinly hoped he was with.

"It's been too long Heinly~"

Heinly shivered under the deep voice that called him. He looked up and saw a completely unfamiliar man. The smog made his eyes blurry but it was definitely not Dainsleif.

"Who are you-"

"How cruel, you got yourself someone else and completely forgot about me."

Before Heinly could do anything, a cloth covered his entire face. He tried not to breathe in but it was too late, he felt faint.

"Heinly! No!" Dainslief's voice boomed, but it felt sluggish in Heinly's ear. Heinly tried to see where Dain was and only saw a figure surrounded by smoke that tried to reach him. But even so, he wanted to reach his hand towards it.

Help me... Ichi...
