"Heinly stay down, someone is coming here."

The voice of Julius rang out, loud enough to not be drowned out by the rain. Heinly crouched and sneaked near Julius, he could feel his feet getting drenched and it felt icky.

"How many and where?" Heinly whispers.

"Only one, and it's coming from the north. It's heading our way and it's fast."

"Only one? Is the Higher Order really that confident to kill us by sending only one man?"

"I'm not too sure, though it is true that this isn't their style. And the way they're moving fast, too fast for me to hear... I don't think it's a goon from the Higher Order."

Heinly nods, calming himself down. "Let's try to see them, maybe they'll help us escape."

Julius nods in approval, "Be careful."

Heinly peeks from Julius's back and sure enough there was a person riding a horse towards their direction. It strode fast and smooth even though it was raining and the ground was soggy and slippery. Each distance covered by the person revealed a very familiar figure.

His heart shakes and he hopes. Slowly, Heinly stands up and looks out towards the person, squinting his eyes from the raindrops, hoping that the stranger running towards them would help.

And sure enough, the once fast hoofbeats slowed down. Heinly raises his chin up to see...

"Haru!"

Heinly doesn't get it, but that name stroked a chord in his heart. It was as if he was yearning to be called that way.

"Ichi...?"

"Haruki!"

"Daichi?"

And it was, the person riding the horse revealed a dark blue military uniform, messy wet hair, and an obvious worried face. It was as if the world stopped for a moment and gave the both of them an opportunity to be relieved. No one expected this kind of reunion, not even the past Haruki could.

They have dreamt about it several times over and over and yet they're here in each other's sight. Heinly was on his feet, ready to run towards Dainsleif and cling to him. He wouldn't even mind getting wet from Dain's uniform. All he needed was finally here.

"Heinly watch out!"

Julius's voice rang out in warning but it was too late. It was just too fast. Too fast that it felt unfair.

"Haru, No-"

Heinly saw Dainsleif's grim expression. He didn't get why Dain made that face, wasn't he glad to see me again?

But for some reason each step became heavy and the noises around him became numb, even his breath became more unstable, and there was a sharp pain that coursed through his back.

And by the time he realises it, his vision went dark.
