Chpt 16

Crystalized

Luna's PoV

"Annie.. why?" I said as I fixed myself in the air, looking down at her as Eren punched her in the jaw, knocking her onto a chapel below.

Before I could dive down to stop Eren, I was grabbed and tackled by someone. "let go! You have to stop him!" I shouted as we landed on a roof, them holding me in their arms tightly. "You did what you could! Now it's up to Eren."

I looked up to see that it was Jean who managed to grab a hold of me. "But-"

"Shut up!" He shouted, dropping me. "You really think we have time to think about how you can help her? Look at them!" He shouted, pointing to Annie and Eren fighting in their titan form.

"I could've.. helped her.." I said, dropping my blades to the ground, crying.

"No point in crying about it. All you can do now is watch." He said.

As annie kicked Eren into a building everyone was shocked to see her slam him like that. I know it was bad to cheer Annie on deep down. I wanted her to make it through this. Once she was done with Eren, she ran away but of course, Eren was not done with her.

He had gotten back up, chasing her and tackling her to the ground.  I looked over at Hange as Mikasa landed on the same roof as us.

"We have to help him!" She said. "With the state he's in he's too dangerous." Hange said.

"Annie! You have to survive!" I screamed as I watched Eren ontop of her. She quickly got him off of her, but he grabbed her head, squeezing it in his hands, blood splattering everywhere.

I felt this thump in my chest just seeing this happening in front of me.

She must be so terrified..

As Annie managed to get out of Eren's grip again, she kicked him away and made her way to the wall, hardening her fingers to climb up them.

"Annie.." I whispered.

"Luna.. your skin.." Jean said. I looked down at me hands to see that the lines were back but before I could do anything, the sight of Eren grabbing Annie by the legs to stop her had got to me.

"Don't touch her!" I screamed, running off of the roof and using my odm gear to get me closer to them. Without even noticing, my mind had went blank.

Jean's PoV

We all covered our eyes from the bright light that emitted from Luna's body, soon white lightning crashed down on her, she was gone and a titan appeared out of nowhere, grabbing eren by the neck and smashing him into the ground creating a large crater below him.

We all stood there in shock at what was happening in front of us. Luna's titan had long white hair like she did but what was odd about the titan, was the sharp blades on her forearms.

She was much larger than Eren as she had him pinned down while Annie climbed up the wall. Mikasa didn't hesitate to go after Annie, cutting her down.

"We need to retrieve Luna!" Hange shouted. "Are you crazy?! How are we going to do that? She's literally an 18 meter titan! With blades!" I screamed.

"She's not doing any harm to Eren but pinning him down. Something tells me she's just protecting her best friend." Hange said.

As Annie crashes to the ground, Luna suddenly stopped moving. Eren got up, pushing her aside, jumping onto Annie.
He completely ignored her. Why?!

Luna isn't moving. She's....she's just standing still, frozen in position!

Luna's PoV

"Stop it.. please Luna. Don't fight for me. You'll only get dragged into this. You have to let go of Eren.. I promise I'll be okay." I heard Annie's voice in the back of my head.

I stopped my movements, letting Eren push me away to get to Annie. "I'll be okay.." She said.

I watch as Eren bit the nape of Annie's Titan but he froze like I did. Suddenly a bright blue light was coming from Annie. What.. what are you doing Annie?

Annie-

I was soon after cut from the nape of my Titan. Pulled out by Jean and another scout member. I stared blankly at the sky as  I was pulled out of the nape, hot tears pouring from my eyes.

Annie..

Jean suddenly pulled my head onto his just, embracing me slightly.

"Why her.." I whispered.

Once I was brought down to everyone one else, I quickly ran over to the large crystal that held Annie inside. I started kicking and punching the crystal, screaming at it.

"Why?! Why would you do this to yourself Annie!! I wanted to help you! I wanted to save you!" I screamed. "We were supposed to fight together for our freedom!" I stopped trying to break through the crystal, falling to my knees in defeat.

"What you did out there will have consequences. I understand she was your friend but transforming like that with no control over your abilities, you could've put everyone here in danger, brat." Captain Levi said as he walked over to me.

".. we're only kids.." I mumbled as I stared at Annie's now crystalized body.

"Someone get me a wire net! This thing belongs deep underground!" Hange shouted. I got up, ready to launch at her for what she said but I was immediately punched in the face by Captain Levi, knocking me to the ground.

"Captain-" he put his blade up, cutting Hange off.

"Just like Eren. So hot headed and annoying. I'll teach you respect whether you like it or not and don't even think about transforming. I won't hesitate to kill you." He said, pointing his blade at my face.

"Take her away.." Hange said.

I sighed in defeat as I was being cuffed once again and carried off to who knows where.

Where was Reiner when I needed him..
