Chpt 24

Scream

Reiner's POV

I looked down at Luna, seeing her sitting there not doing anything. I tried protecting her by picking up any titan that came close and throwing them to stop the scouts from getting away with Eren.

What is she doing?! Get up!

"Luna! You have to help us get these titans off! We'll die!" Berthodlt shouted, but she didn't budge.

One by one as I manage to get some of the titans off of me, I looked down at Luna, knowing that she was in shock and unable to move. Berthodlt quickly zipped down to Luna , picking her up from the ground and bringing her back up to my shoulder.

Once I got a good look at her face, her eyes were lifeless, like she wasnt there anymore. Berthodlt tapped her cheek slightly but she never came back from her daze.

We had no time to waste so I began running towards the scouts to retrieve Eren, throwing the last 3 titans that were latched onto me.

I just need to get to him as quick as possible!

Suddenly I felt electricity flow through me and I knew Berthodlt felt it aswell. My eyes widened when I noticed Luna's eyes glowing.

Sh-shit! Is she about to transform?!

I grabbed Luna off of my shoulder and aimed for the sky, throwing her far enough. Suddenly a large bolt of white lightning crashed down on her, creating a large ball of light.

When her titan appeared, I couldnt help but stare in awe. She landed onto her feet and just stood there not moving at all what so ever. Even her titan was beautiful..

I looked to my left to see Eren running with Mikasa on his back. I quickly headed in that direction to get a hold of him before something else happens.

Out of all people why was it him who gets this power!

He stopped running and turned to look at us. He looked as though he was screaming when I suddenly felt another electrical flow throughout me.

Titans were on me and Berthodlt, trying to get to him more than me but they were still climbing on me, weighing me down. I couldn't protect him like this and Luna is still standing there!

As a titan was pushed off of me my eyes widened to see Ymir was back again and she managed to save Berthodlt from being eaten. I noticed the scouts were retreating but for now we'll have to let them go.

The titans were beginning to multiply in numbers and we needed to get out of here quickly! I couldn't even see Luna's titan anymore.

Before I knew it, A blade had struck through two of the titans, slicing them away from me. Then another and another.

Once my view was clear, Luna's titan stared right at me. She was alot larger than my titan but I liked that feeling. Her arms had sharp blades on them, attached to her skin and hardened.

It was like she was wearing Armor. Her titan was the Knight Titan, passed down to her by royal blood. Her mother.

Once all the titans were down, a few stood at her feet, not doing anything but standing there.

I emerged from the nape of my titan. Luna placed her hand onto the shoulder of my titan. Berthodlt and Ymir climbed onto her arm, standing on her shoulder. As I fully removed myself from my titan, she held her palm out to me, where I happily walked onto. She brought me up closer to her face.

"Thank you for staying with us.." I said and she nodded slowly.

Luna's PoV

We were atop a wall in the Shiganshina district, my old home. I had decided to stop here with the others. Reiner, Berthodlt and Ymir. I was completely exhausted and what I came to learn is that I had a limited amout of time in my titan form unlike the others.

I let out a small sigh as I sat down between Reiner and Berthodlt who were both panting aswell.

Once I had catch my breath, I looked over to Reiner angrily. "What?" he started. I got up onto my knees, throwing a punch at his face, knocking him over.

"Luna-"

"shut up!" I shouted at Bertholdt and he fell silent. "Calm down, Luna.." Reiner said, holding his cheek where I punched him.

"I can't believe all of that just really happened.." I sighed, sitting back, staring at him. "Well believe it.." Ymir numbled.

"What possessed you to come back?" Reiner asked, looking at Ymir.

"Can't say really..probably wasnt the smartest thing. Seemed alittle unfair since you guys were going home empty handed. Just think of me as a constilation price." She said.

"Are you serious?" Berthodlt asked.

"Look at it this way. If you hadn't come to bust up the wall, Who knows when my nightmare wouldve ended. I owed quite a debt. This is me giving back what I took from you." She said. I looked at Ymir, saddened.

"Atleast somebody knows the shit we've been through.. Even if its only me.." She said.

I stood up, walking away from the group for some fresh air. I felt so conflicted with myself! I could feel the tears streaming down my face constantly.

As they fall, I continued to wipe and wipe my tears as I continued to walk. "Im so sorry everyone!" I said out loud, crying.

I heart footsteps behind me and as I turned around, I was pulled into a hug by Reiner. He placed his hand at the back of my head, pulling me close as I cried.

"Im sorry I put you through this..." He whispered. I gripped onto the straps on his chest, hiding my face from him before whispering . "I've now made up my mind.. I wont be just fighting for my freedom... I'll be fighting for you! For Berthodlt.. and Annie too.." I whispered.

His grip tightened around me as I sobbed. "I'll keep fighting.. Til no more.."

Jean's POV

"I told you she'd go back.. Convincing her wouldnt have worked." I said, staring at the sky. "It worked. We managed to get her for a couple of seconds. You heard what she said, right? She not our enemy. She's only with them out of love. She refuses to hurt us and I doubt she will.." Aaron said.

"I agree.. Something tells me that Luna is only a shield. Did you see her titan? She looked almost like a knight.. Her body covered in metal armor. Is that even possible for a titan?" Armin said.

"Even if she is a shield or whatever, she won't hesitate with any of us if we get close to Reiner or Berthodlt." I said in a mumble.

She's always on your mind huh?" Connie asked.

"He really loves her." Sasha shrugged. "Its not that! Its j-just..whatever. The next time I see her, I wont hold back!" I shouted.

If I wanted luna back with us.. I need to try harder! Convince her that she has love here in the walls, not just Reiner. If anything, I have to tell her how I feel about her.
