Chpt 19

Luna's POV

"Everyone wake up! Get to the tower immediately!" One of the scouts shouted. I quickly got up from where I had fallen asleep and so did everyone else. I looked around to see Reiner  coming back from a room he was in.

I quickly made my way to the top of the tower with everyone else. There were titans down below, trying to climb their way up to us. There were so many of them down below and everyone was now on edge.

The scout members who had their ODM gear didn't hesitate to go down to get rid of the titans. As I was going to run back inside to get my gear as well, Reiner grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"Don't.." he said. "What? You know I can help them out Reiner! We don't have time to waste!" I said.

"You're in no shape to fight!" He shouted.

He was right. My Body still ached slightly from our events earlier. I bit down on my lip and shook my head. "I can still try..' I whispered.

"Not today.." he said and I gave in.

"Titans are in the castle, get below and improvise some sort of barricade. Be careful and retreat back up here only as a last resort. Now hurry the rest of us will keep any from getting in as best as we can." The scout said to us.

"They're quite a few so this might be it for us, but by God we'll fight to the last breath! Our heart and soul to the cause right!? Now go!" She shouted.

We all immediately wasted no time making our way down the castle stairs.

Reiner grabbed the torch from the wall, running further down. "I'll see how far they've gotten in! You'll find something to board up the entrance whatever isn't nailed down." Reiner said.

"Reiner wait!" I shouted.

He was so fast.

"Are you kidding me? Why is he always the first one to step up? Give us a break!" Connie asked. "I know, it's a habit of his.." Bertholdt said.

We heard Reiner shouting from downstairs which caused us to pick up the pace.

"They're in the tower! They're down here come help me!"

I opened the door quickly to see Reiner hold the door close. "Reiner move away!" I screamed. As a hand broke it's way through the door, ready to grab him I shouted his name as he was frozen in place.

I pushed him out of the way, tackling him to the ground as the titan broke through the door. Bertholdt showed up just in time, stabbing the titan in it's eye with a shovel.

Reiner quickly got up, helping him attack the titan. I got up, looking at the two. "Maybe if I transform, I can get us all out of here!" I said.

"Don't even think about it!!" He grunted.

"Are you good?" Bertholdt asked Reiner. "Yes, listen to me, we're gonna make it home. This is not how we die." Reiner said to Bertholdt.

I quickly looked around for anything I could help them with. "Guys heads up! In coming!" Ymir shouted from up the stairs. Connie and her had a cannon at the top.

"Where'd you find that?" Reiner asked. "Good work is there ammo?" He finished.

"Yeah right if only! It was pure luck! Get out of the way!" She responded.
