"I cannot believe you just did that Lou!" I laughed and shook my head in disbelief as we walked through the car park searching for our car. We had been playing dares and Louis had a dare to strip off and run in the sea naked which he did without any hesitation.

"Well you should never turn down a dare!" Louis chucked.

"Shame Holly wasn't here too see it!" Liam said.

"Maybe not, don't want to disappoint!" Zayn said raising his eyebrows. We all laughed except Louis who rolled his eyes.

"There would be no disappointment I can assure you." Louis laughed. "Where is the damn car?"

.

Eventually we found it and began the journey home with Louis driving. The radio was on, windows rolled down and I just felt happy. It felt good to feel happy. I realised distraction was the best remedy at the time and it's what I would have to do if I wanted to stay happy.

Once we arrived at the hotel all of the boys except Zayn decided that they were going to go swimming so I stayed with Zayn. I walked into the kitchen area to make us a drink but tripped on something. It was a newspaper. My heart sank as I remembered what was inside the paper. I picked it up gingerly and tossed it on the side in effort to forget however it didn't work. Once my mind was on the subject there was no going back. I bent down, leaning on the counter with my head in my hands. I pictured Courtney standing in front of me. She ran into my room tears running down her face.

"I made a huge mistake." Is all she spoke before my day dream was pushed away by Zayns voice.

"Nialls, are you alright mate?" He patted my shoulder.

"Me? Yeah I'm fine just needed a quick rest!" I put on a laugh before turning around quick not wanting Zayn to see my face that was probably tear stained.

"Niall, when you're with me you don't have to pretend. I can't imagine the pain you're going through right now and I can't imagine how hard it must be holding it all back. You know sometimes just talking about the problem makes things seem so much better." Zayn said. He smiled before sitting down, I followed him sitting on the neighbouring seat.

"So, how are you doing?" Zayn smiled. I deep a deep breath out thinking to myself "by the end of this you won't b smiling."

"Today was great. I actually managed to forget about everything and just have fun! Coming back here, seeing the newspaper just bought it all back- my happiness a was temporary. I'm just starting to realise that I don't want anything but her. Even if I was happy without her I wouldn't want it- I need her Zayn. I love her! I'm in love with her and I can't see her and it's so fucking frustrating! Once you've had something it's very hard to accept it once it's torn away from you. Never did I think we would break up. She was... Is the one." I finished shaking me head.

"You've made it very clear. Niall, if what your saying is true, that you NEED her, then you need to go after her. Don't give up and let her slip through our fingers. You'll be strangers if you see this through!" Zayn looked at me like never before. I knew he was there for me. Zayn had always been like an older brother to me, so had all the boys, but Zayn was always my advice giver.

"You're right but what about management? They'll kill me! What about the band? Remember why we had to split up in the first place? I can't ruin it for all of you!"

"I wouldn't mind. I know the others wouldn't either. We just want our Nialler to smile again." Zayn concluded before getting up and heading towards the balcony. I saw him pull out a cigarette and put it between his lips. I didn't realise how upset it had made him. True friendship. I got up and started to pack my bags knowing we were going somewhere else just before the tour properly kicked off.

It was getting pretty late so we decided to head home. Each of our hands were being pulled down by the weight of shopping bags and food... Well for me it was anyway.

None of us could drive yet although I had my lessons booked. It was so frustrating because we either had to get a lift with someone or walk.

"I'll call my mum." I said pulling out my phone.

"Hey, could you come and Coll- at the mall. I know, I'm sorr- Yeh, I promise. I'll explain it all la- ok love you too." I hung up chuckling. "God she was so worried. I forgot to tell her I was going out... Oops! She'll be here in ten"

"Ok then. Have you told her about er y'know?" Olivia asked sheepishly.

"No, that's on tonight's agenda!" I said rolling my eyes. A few minutes later and my mum was here. I got in the front kissing her cheek. The others squeezed into the back. Luckily mum had a fairly big car.

"So, how're you daughter, haven't seen you in ages!" She laughed before hugging me.

"I'm good. How're you?" I smiled.

"Yes, yes I'm good. Any gossip?" She always asked this.

"Well. Maybe but I'll talk to you later." I said making discreet hand gestures to the back of the car.

"Oh right ok! How're you lot?" Mum said glancing at them in her mirror. After the girls caught up... With my mum we were soon home. We dropped everyone off at their stop before going home our selfs.

Mum unlocked the door and I stepped in. It was so nice to be home. I felt safe. "I'm just going to go get in my pyjamas and I'll be down." I told my mum who smiled in reply. I came back down knowing what I'd have to tell her.

"Ok, mum me and Niall had to sort of um break up." I said biting my lip- I hated saying that sentence.

"Nooooo! Why?" Mums eyes widened.

"Well..." And I explained the hole story to her not leaving out anything. Me and my mum had always been extremely close so I could tell her stuff. "Wait until your dad finds out. Aw honey, how do you feel about it?"

"Honestly, not good. But then neither does he. It's not that we don't want to be together it's just... It's just-" I tried to find the word.

"Complicated" mum finished for me.

"Yeh." I breathed out.

"Well why don't we go watch some tv, you've got a lot of Eastenders to catch up on!" Mum said laughing.

"Ah ok then!" I smiled before we headed into the living room. From just being at home for that hour I felt tons better. I just blocked the thought of school out of my head until I actually had to face if. Tomorrow would be tough but no tougher then that day had been I guess.
