Chapter 2: The Beginning Of A New Life

READER'S POV

I gathered some of my stuff from the bedroom and I heard the door open and it was shadow he had the bag of items I needed that was on the list. He came over to me and he said to me.

"I managed to get most of the stuff that was on the list you gave me."

He handed the stuff to me and I smiled a little.

"Thanks, Shadow, I got most of my stuff from the bedroom."

"Well anyway, we should get going."

"Actually shadow there's one place I need to go first."

When we left the house and I locked the door and then we exited from the south part of castle town and then we headed to Hyrule field. When we were walking on the stone path I picked a lily from a group of flowers I saw from the other day.

A few minutes later we arrived at the ranch where I used to live with my parents and then I looked at the burnt down barn. I then went over to it and I knelt down and I placed the lily I picked up from earlier. I thought to myself while staring at the burnt down barn where my parents died.

'Mother, Father, I came here to tell you that I will be leaving for Ordon village to find work because there are not many jobs in castle town any more I tried to get a job at Telma's bar but she said I need to be a bit older to work there so I'll be heading to Ordon to find a job there so I won't be visiting you guys for a while...'

SHADOW'S POV

I heard (Y/n) talking to her parents I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Then I turned around and I saw (Y/n)'s aunt and her cousins so I came to her and said to her.

"Uh I hate to interrupt you (Y/N) but your aunt and your cousins are coming so we better get going."

"Right I'm coming".

(Y/n) then kissed her hand and then she placed her hand on the lily and then we left the ranch.

READER'S POV

We were walking towards the edge of Faron woods and then shadow stopped and then I looked at him.

"Hey, aren't you coming?"

Shadow shook his head for a no and he said to me.

"Sorry (Y/N) this is far as I can go some people might chase me away and before you go I want you to have this."

He gave a small bag of rupees and I was surprised that he would give me this much.

"Shadow I can't have this."

I tried to give the purse back but Shadow pushed my hands back.

"You keep it, you need this more than I do call it a head start when you start earning money."

I smiled and said to Shadow.

"Thanks, Shadow".

Before I left I turned to him and I kissed him on the cheek and then I headed straight towards Ordon.

When I was walking in Faron woods it brought back so many memories, when I was 6 years old my parents used to bring me here to have a picnic next to Faron spring. I was about to walk past the waterfall until I saw two men sitting next to the waterfall.

"I wonder who those two are? I'll bet they're from Ordon village I better ask them".

I thought to myself. I came up to them and I asked them.

"Excuse me, are you two from Ordon village? I'm looking for work there."

The two men looked at me and then the one with the beard smiled at me and he said to me.
