Chapter 36 Zant Appears

READER'S POV

I looked at the seal's inscription and it explains everything about what happened during the war all those years ago. After reading the inscription I looked back at the blood seal and Ryumma nodded his head and I knelt down and I got my knife out and I cut my hand. I then clenched my hand making the blood dropped onto the seal and then the seal glowed a little and then the doors opened and then from a distance I saw a golden-like object that was sitting on a pedestal.

Ryumma saw this as well and he said,"The apple is just straight ahead from here but be careful that bridge does not look safe." I then said,"I know that don't worry, I'll be fine Ryumma."

After I said that he disappeared and I then slowly walked across the bridge. When I was trying to reach the other side I kept on hearing some cracking noises it was almost like the bridge was about to give way any second so I tried to pick up the pace but as I was about to reach the other side the stone part of the bridge gave out and I quickly jumped to the other side and when I did I grabbed onto the ledge.

Before I pulled myself up I looked behind and I saw the stone bridge was being destroyed. I said,"Phew, That was way too close another second and I would've fallen to my death."

After I said that I pulled myself up and I got up and I walked towards the apple. At first I was surprised that I actually would see the Apple of Eden with my own eyes but when I picked it up it didn't seem powerful and I didn't sense anything from it.

"Weird, This apple it doesn't feel powerful at all... Unless it's!-" I realised what the problem was so I twisted the top part of it and then it opened and it contained a message inside of it.

"I knew it this apple is a fake, which means the real one is hidden somewhere else, that's why you didn't use the apple during the war, you slay old fox... Now, I just need to get out of here and let Zoro know about this."

I put the fake apple in my pouch and I looked around and saw some cracked parts on the wall which gave me the idea to climb on them and make it across. I walked over to the wall and I ran up it and I grabbed the ledge and I started to make it across to the other side safely.

TIME SKIP...

I got out of the deep dungeons and I saw Zoro and he said,"Did you find it?" I said,"I found it all right however...," I went into my pouch and I placed the fake Apple of Eden on the table and Zoro's eyes widen in shock.

"Wait, this is not the apple?" Zoro asked me as he looked at the fake apple. I said,"No, it seems dad fooled everyone before going into battle."

Zoro looked confused and he said,"But it doesn't make any sense he specifically said that he hid the apple in this hideout and he said one of us needed to get it out of the deep dungeons so why put a fake one in there in the first place?" I smirked and said,"I think this note will tell you why."

I got the note out of my pouch and I unfolded it and I read it out saying,"To my son, daughter and my brothers and sisters of the creed, I'm sorry I didn't tell you that this apple I placed in the dungeons was a fake but I had my reasons. If one of you ever finds this I will tell you where I hid the real one I gave the apple to a friend whose from a royal family but this one is not from this world you see, this person does not live in the world of light she lives in a world that's filled with darkness to find her you need to go to the mirror chamber in Gerudo Desert but be careful if word gets out that the apple of Eden is here in Hyrule then our worst enemy will try and take it and use it for evil, Good luck, from your friend, leader and father."

Zoro then said,"Dad gave the apple to a friend from another royal family? Who is she?" I thought for a moment and said,"I think I might know Zoro but the note said our worst enemy will try and take the apple from us who is that?"

Zoro then said,"It's the templars they want the 8 pieces of Eden just so they can use it for power but we on the other hand use the apple not for power but for peace this battle has been going on for centuries and it has never ended." I understood this and said,"I see, Zoro I'm heading back to Lake Hylia."

"Why what for?" He asked me. I said,"Link has someone with him in the Lake bed temple and she might tell me who the friend is and where he or she has hidden the apple."

Zoro sighed and said,"All right but be careful out there, there are still enemies remaining in Hyrule." I then said,"I know I'll send a messenger bird to you once I find the apple I'll see you soon."

I put my hood on and I left the hideout. Once I left the hideout I got on Diablo and I kicked his side and I galloped back to Lake Hylia as fast as I could so that I could find Link. After a while passed I finally made it back but when I was about to got inside I saw a man who was wearing a grey mask and a back-green outfit and suddenly I saw the lanayru spirit. I then got my hidden blade out and I charged at him suddenly something forced me back and I landed against the wall and I fell unconscious.

MIDNA'S POV

I was hiding in Link's shadow when Zant used some kind of dark magic to temporary turn this part of province into twilight. After this part was turned into twilight Link and (Y/N) were transformed into the wolf forms and I was forced out of Link's shadow and I shouted,"Zant!"

Suddenly I was bound by something and I was forced in the air and my arms were bound to each side. Zant walked towards the ledge and suddenly, all three fused shadows were floating in front of me and then they went towards Zant and he said,"Did you honestly mean to take an ancient and withered power like this and turn it against me?"

Zant made the fused shadows disappear and he then said,"You are a foolish traitor, Midna, Why do you defy your king?" I glared at him angrily and shouted,"My KING? You, who do nothing but abuse the magic of your tribe? You must be joking!" Zant then said,"How dare you?! Are you implying that my power is...our old magic? Now THAT is a joke!"

After he said he pulled me towards the ledge and threw me onto the ground next to Link and he then said,"This power was granted to me by my god! It is the magic of the King of Twilight, and you WILL respect it!"

I turned around and he was creating a dark spell and then Link woke up and he tried to attack him but then he was forced back and then he landed on the ground. I went over to him and I saw something go into his forehead suddenly I bound again and I was next to Zant this time.

He said,"My Midna... Did you forget? Those two beasts are one of the light dwellers who oppressed our people. No matter how much you may desire otherwise, you will never be more than a shadow in their world. You cannot consort with their kind! But if we can make their world ours, Midna...light and darkness will meet at last. Our tribe will take back their realm...and sweet darkness will bolt out this harsh light! And that, Midna, is why..."

He took off the mouth part of his mask and said,"I need you. Not just for me, but all of our people... Lend me your power."

I finally struggled out of his grip and I stood next to Link and Zant then said,"So be it... I will return you to the light world you covet!" I was suddenly floating in mid-air and Zant moved me above the water and the Lanayru spirit appeared and it's light shun brightly at me.

ZANT'S POV

The spirit's light surrounded her and then they both disappeared. When I turned around the two beasts were gone.
