Chapter 66 Hyrule Castle

READER'S POV

After Midna teleports us out of the Palace, Midna came out of Lin's shadow and she said,"So Ganondorf was just using Zant and Gina to help him return to the world of light... I guess now we know the true nature of that barrier over Hyrule Castle... He's in Hyrule Castle, I'm sure of it... Princess Zelda is in grave danger! We must return to the world of light and hurry to the castle!"

Midna went back into Link's shadow and I said,"She's right, besides, Ganondorf is going to pay for he did to my parents and my fallen brothers and sisters of the creed." Zoro smirked and said,"I agree with you there sis." Shadow then said,"And I'll be right beside you." I nodded my head Link then said,"Just don't even think about pulling a fast one on us."

Shadow glared at Link and we then headed towards the portal and we were back in the world of light. Once we got back into the world of light, we were in Hyrule field after Midna teleported us and as we were on our horses, Zoro said,"I'll head back to the hideout and get some of the members of the creed ready for battle, you guys can go on ahead." Link then said,"Right thanks for help back in the twilight realm Zoro."

Zoro nods his head and said,"Not at all, just remember to keep an eye on my sister while you two are it." Shadow then said,"Oh don't worry, we will." Zoro then said,"Later sis, Hiya!!" Zoro kicked his horse's side and he galloped off. I then said,"Let's go you two." They nodded their heads and we rode to Hyrule castle. On the way there Shadow said,"(Y/n), I'm sorry, I knew what Gina did to your father and as for your mother-" I said,"I know! I know what Gina told me and I had a feeling that you knew as well and as for my mother, she's alive and well."

Shadow was surprised at this and I said,"You should be surprised at this, I'm not that weak eleven year old girl that you remember." Shadow then said,"You're right." I smirked at this and then we made it back to Castle town. We walked through the streets and then I saw my Aunt and my Cousins. Daisy said,"Well, well, what do we have here? The assassin wannabe and her two bodyguards." Mazie said,"Ooh, I'm so scared right now! NOT! HAHAHA!!"

I glared them and I said,"Out of my way losers!!" I said as I shoved my cousins to the side. My aunt then said,"With that attitude it won't make us give you your ranch back." I glared at my Aunt and said,"Shut the hell up and drop old Hag! I don't have time to deal with you!! stay out of my way!!" The three of them looked shocked at my outburst and I walked away from them with a smirk on my face I said,"Boy that felt good."

Link then said,"(Y/n), I can't tell if that was your foul mouth or the Apple's power getting to your brain." Shadow said,"I can, it was her foul mouth that's for sure." I giggled and then we reach Hyrule castle.

LINK'S POV

Midna got in front of us and she summoned the three fused shadows. She merged them together and then all of a sudden she was being shoved back and forth. She went over the wall and then a large creature with long tentacles appeared. (Y/n) said,"I'm guessing that must be the power of the fused shadows!" Shadow then said,"I agree with you there! I better remind myself not to get on Midna's bad side!!"

Midna stood on the wall and then she leaped into the air. She grabbed onto the barrier and she summoned a sphear and she struck at the barrier causing it to break and making everything go bright. After that happened, it started to rain and  I held Minda in my arms and she regain consciousness. She looked at us and then we all looked at Hyrule castle and we knew that Princess Zelda is waiting for us.

(Y/n) puts her hood on and said,"Let's go." We nodded our heads and we walked through the first gate and we walked on the bridge. Once we got to the second door I held (Y/n)'s hand and said,"(Y/n) please be careful, Ganondorf isn't like the previous enemies we fought against from before." She nods her head and said,"I know, don't worry, as long as I have this apple and you two with me, I'll be just fine."

We opened the second gate and went though. We looked around and we were in the courtyard. (Y/n) said,"You know when I was a little girl I used to dream about coming here, I never thought I was able to step in the castle's courtyard like this." Shadow then said,"Yeah this dream is a reality." I asked him," Shadow do you know where Zelda is?"

Shadow looks up and said,"If I had to guess Princess Zelda must be in the throne room but, to get there we'll need to get some keys to get through the entrance but the small keys are scattered about in the courtyard." (Y/n) then said,"If that's the case, can you get them?" Shadow nods his head and said,"I will be right back, don't go anywhere." Shadow then teleports away.

READER'S POV

I smiled at Shadow's comment and Link then said,"After all of what he has put you through, you still trust him huh?" I said,"I know I should be angry at him about being on Ganondorf's side and knowing about what really happened that day, I just can't find myself to hate him or get angry at him, I guess I really do love him."

Link looked a bit sad and I saw this and said,"But, I do love you as a brother Link." Link looked a bit happy and he said,"Thank you, (Y/n)." Link came over and he gently kisses my forehead. Link pulled away and said,"Call that as a good luck charm." I nodded my head and then Shadow came back with a small key and said,"It took me a while but I found one, come on."

We were on our way to the entrance until we were penned in. We stood back to back and then several enemies approached us. I said,"Guys brace yourselves, I wanna test this Apple's power." I raised my arm and I felt the apple's power coursing through me and I then released it's energy causing some of the enemies to be killed. Once the dust settled Shadow said,"Whoa! Now I know why Gina wanted that apple, not to mention you just it and you're already using it like a pro."

I felt slightly weak and I said,"I know but this Apple's power kinda took out some of my strength, I guess I better be careful about the amount of power I use." Shadow then said,"Are you going to be all right?" I then said,"Yeah, probably not a good idea to use this apple so recklessly until we reach Ganondorf." Link nods his head and said,"I think that would be best."

I put the Apple away and we went inside of the castle. Once we were in the main hall Link and I looked around and the castle looked a lot bigger than it did on the outside. As we got closer to the main hall we were penned in again. We started attacking them until they were defeated. Once they were gone, the hall started to lit up a little and we looked at our surroundings.

I said,"Whoa." Link then said,"I know, looks like to the throne room won't be easy." Shadow then said,"I would teleport you guys there but my powers don't stretch out that far besides, (Y/n) has the Apple of Eden in her possession." I said,"He's right, we'll have to do this the hard way."

After a while had passed we were about to get the boss's key but we saw some of those lizards charging at us and we looked up and some of King Bulbin's archers were there too. One of the archers fired their arrow at us but it never landed on any of us which was a surprise. Suddenly the archers dropped dead and then a bomb appeared out of nowhere and it caused the Lizards to vanish.

Link looked to the side and said,"Look!" I saw a hawk and I said,"Wait a second." I looked down and we saw Rusl and the other members of the ground. Rusl waved at us and we nodded our heads and they knew exactly what we were going to do. Shadow said,"Friends of yours?" I said,"You could say that." Link came back with the boss's key and he said,"I've got the key, let's get going." We nodded our heads and we made our way to the throne room. 

On the way there we ran into a few of the enemies but we defeated them any way. As we got closer to the boss's door some more of those Lizards appeared and just when we were about to attack several assassins appeared out of nowhere and they killed them. When a large knight came over to us Zoro landed on top of him and he used his two swords to slice his head off.

Zoro landed on the ground and said,"Get going, we'll take care of the rest of the enemies, and sis." I looked at Zoro and said,"When you see Ganon, send him my regards when he goes to hell." I nodded my head and said,"Will do bro." Once Zoro and the other assassins left, Shadow said,"Be very careful, (Y/n), Link, Ganon is a lot more powerful than you could ever imagine."

We nodded our heads and we unlocked the door. Once Link opened the door I thought to myself,"Hang on a little longer, Princess Zelda, we're almost there."
