Chapter 41 The Master Sword

READER'S POV

I opened my eyes and I was lying on the ground and I felt a weight on my stomach and it was Shadow and he was sleeping peaceful and he was clinging onto my waist. I poked his cheek a little and he opened one eye and he said,"mmm...(Y/n) let me sleep a little longer..."

"Shadow there's a hot spring near by and I want to go for soak." I said. Shadow opened his eyes and then he had a smirk on his face. I glared at him and said,"Don't even think about it Shadow I know what that smirk means." Shadow pouted and said,"Aww spoil sport." I said,"I mean it! If you peek at me you're dead meat!" Shadow then said,"Ok,Ok, I promise I won't look." 

He got off me and then he laid back on the grass and I looked at him for a moment because I knew he's up to something and I then headed to the hot spring. I took my weapons belt and my cloak off before I took my clothes I took another look at my surroundings making sure Shadow wasn't peeking at me so I took them off except for my under shirt and I stepped into the warm water.

"Mmm... this feels so nice." I said to myself. Just then I felt arms wrap around me and someone whispered in my ear saying,"Hey beautiful." "Eek!!" I screamed as I got away from his embrace and I covered my chest quickly. "Shadow! What the hell are you doing here!? G-go away!" I shouted as I turned away from him. Just then I heard him getting in the water and then he came over and I felt him wrapping his arms around me and he said,"Oh come on, (Y/n), you're not even nude."

SHADOW'S POV

"Unfortunately..." I thought to myself. She blushed and said,"W-well, yeah but you can still see through it." I then said,"If you want I'll leave." She blushed bright red and said,"F-fine, you can stay but don't do anything funny." I smiled and said,"OK." I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and I said,"Come a little closer."

She scooted closer and she rested her head on my chest. I said,"I'm glad you're here with me (Y/n)." She smiled and said,"Me too Shadow." I then said,"I know I already asked you this but how is it going with large bill?" She said,"It's getting there but slowly except it's still not even no where near enough to buy back the ranch I still wished my dad's will would show up already."

I placed my thumb and index finger on her chin so that she can look at me and I said,"Even if it doesn't show up you'll still have me." She blushed and she then said,"Thank you Shadow." She then buried her face in my chest and I then stroked her (H/l) (H/c).

TIME SKIP...

A few minutes went by and (Y/n) was resting her head on my shoulder and looked a bit concern about something so I asked her,"Hey are you OK? you seem a bit worried about something." She asked me,"Shadow, Gina seemed to know you why is that?" I sighed,"Oh well, I might as well tell you."

READER'S POV

"Gina is my Ex-girlfriend." Shadow said. I sat up quickly and I said,"SHE'S WHAT?!" Shadow then said,"Like I said she's my ex-girlfriend" I was shocked that Gina was Shadow's girlfriend it was a shocker to me. I said,"Whoa I had no idea at least that explains why she's so determined to get rid of me and get you back."

Shadow then said,"Anyway, when I first met her she didn't used to be this evil she was a kind person like you and after spending too much time with the dark side she became a completely different person that's why I broke up with her." I smiled and said,"Why didn't you tell me from the start?"

Shadow then said,"Because I didn't want you to be mad at me that's why I kept a tight lip on it I only wanted to be with you." I then said,"Shadow, I'm not mad at you for keeping it a secret from me I'm glad you told me besides I pretty much figured out that she was still in love you I can tell from the determination in her eyes."

Shadow smirked and said,"Oh really, just like how you're determined to get me alone." He said as he grabbed my shoulders and he pulled me onto his lap.

"Hey! Shadow!" I was about to scold him but he said,"I love you and I want all to myself." I blushed at what he just said I was about to kiss him until I remembered about Link and Midna so I said,"Um Shadow, I really need to get back to Link and Midna." Shadow then said,"I knew you were gonna say that but promise me that we'll see each other again." I then said,"Of course Shadow just don't sneak up on me like last time."

"Don't worry I won't, hang on." He said as he picked me up bridal style. I then wrapped my arms around his neck and he then teleported me back to the sacred grove and I saw Link and Midna and they were heading up the stairs which I didn't see from earlier. Shadow puts me back down on my feet and he then kissed me on the forehead and disappeared leaving black smoke behind him.

I went up to Link and he saw me and he started to bark at me and I couldn't understand. I then said,"Sorry Link I don't speak dog not in this form anyway hang on."

I placed my hand on the stone and I listened to Link he said,"Where did you disappear to? you certainly took your time on getting back here." I then said,"Sorry Link, I got into a fight with Gina so I got beaten up a bit badly but I had to rest for a while but I'm fine now come on let's get the master sword."

LINK'S POV

She's hiding something and I can smell Shadow's scent on her clothes he's touched her but did he hurt her? I continued up the stairs and there it was the master sword we walked towards the sword and suddenly the sword started to glow for a moment and then a gush of wind blew both (Y/n) and Midna backwards but I managed to stay where I was and then the black magic wore off and I started to transform back into a human.

READER'S POV

I got up and I saw something land on Midna's palm and then we both looked at Link he was back to normal and then he grabbed the sword's hilt and then he started to pull the sword out of it's stone and then the fog that was surrounding it vanished. Midna spoke up saying,"The sword accepted you as it's master..."

After Midna said that Link looked at the sword and he swung it a few times and then we both walked up to him and I said,"Welcome back to being a human Link." Link then said,"It's good to be back those fleas were murder." I backed away and shouted,"What!?" Link smirked and said,"Joke." I glared at him and said,"That's not funny." Midna showed us a strange looking stone and she said,"This thing is the embodiment of the evil magic that Zant cast on you. It's definitely different from our tribe's shadow magic..." We both looked at the stone and Midna then said,"Careful... If you touch it, you'll turn back into a beast!"

She then held it in her hand and she then said,"This thing is too dangerous... It's probably best if we just leave it here, huh? But on the other hand...if we kept it, you'd be able to transform into a beast anytime you wanted... Yes, since Zant was kind enough to give this to us, we should be thankful and use it all we can! If you need it, just call me. I want to keep a low profile, so I'll hide in your shadow when you're human, but I can change you whenever. You two can be wolves anytime you like! Also, thanks to this thing, you two can warp whenever you want by switching into wolf form..."

She floated in between us and said,"Hey, but listen, Link,(Y/n)... I've got a favour to ask... Would you two mind coming with me to find something called the Mirror of twilight? It's hidden somewhere in Hyrule... Yes, the Mirror of twilight... Our last potential link to Zant!"

Link and I nodded our heads and I said,"Of course we will besides there's something I'm looking for." Link asked me,"And what is it that you're looking for, (Y/n)?" I said,"I'll explain everything to you, this thing I'm looking for is the apple of eden."

Link's and Midna's eyes widen in shock and they both shouted "WHAT!?"
