Chapter 52 Twilit Arachnid: Armogohma

READER'S POV

I sat on Shadow's lap and he was rocking me back and forth when I was crying my eyes out. Shadow then asked me,"Have you calmed down yet?" I looked at him with a tears still in the corner of my eyes. Shadow wiped another tear from my eye and I said,"Yeah, I'm sorry about this Shadow." Shadow just smiled at me and he moved bits of my hair out of  face. He then said,"It's fine, seeing your father against must have stirred up some memories for you."

I nodded my head and I rested my head on his shoulder and said,"Yeah, I was happy to see my father's soul but I was a bit sad that he and mum left me alone four years ago." Shadow stroked my hair and said,"I don't blame you, are you ready to look for Link?" I shook my head for a no and said,"Just five more minutes." Shadow nods his head and held tighter close to his chest. I thought to myself,"This is the only time when I feel comfortable in Shadow's arms like this, I love him so much but, my heart feels like it's torn two ways I don't know who I should be with when this is all over."

A FEW MINUTES LATER...

Shadow and I were walking around looking for Link but we did ran into some enemies when we were looking for him but eventually we found him. Link saw Shadow and said,"You again?! I tired of you dropping in all of the time!" Shadow leaned to my ear and said,"I'll see around, (Y/n)." Shadow kisses me on the cheek and he left.

LINK'S POV

Shadow kisses (Y/n) on the cheek and he left with me boiling with anger. I looked at (Y/n) and said,"He didn't do anything bad to you did he?" She shook her head for a no but I noticed that she had been crying. I asked her,"What happened? were you crying?" (Y/n) looked up to me and she said,"I'll explain later, anyway did you find the boss's key yet?" I nodded my head and I showed her my new weapon I collected and the key and said,"We better get going." She nods her head and we headed to the boss's lair.

Once we got to the boss's room, I unlocked the door and once the lock fell off the door we went inside the room. Once we got inside we looked around and it was slightly dark but the ceiling had some holes in the and there was some statues as well. We walked towards one of them and we looked around some more until one of the holes on the ceiling was covered. (Y/n) and I unsheathed our swords and when we looked up there was a giant spider on the ceiling and it has another eye on it's back.

(Y/n) looked grossed out and she said,"Holy crap!! you're having laugh right?! there's no frigging way that spider is that size!!" I said,"Uh (Y/n) I'm afraid this boss is a giant spider and we have to fight it!" She then said,"But even so, that eye on it's back is giving me the creeps." It's eye spotted us and (Y/n) squealed a little at this. I said,"Will you stop squealing?!" She said,"I can't help it! giant spiders like that one give me the creeps!"

READER'S POV

The spider began to move on the ceiling while Link and I watched it carefully. I noticed that it's eye on it's back is closed. I said,"Hey Link, strike it's eye with your arrows maybe it'll weaken it." Link nods his head and said,"Agreed, all right then, here we go." Link said as he got his bow and arrows out of his inventory and he then watched the spider carefully. Once it stopped it's eye lid on it's back opened and then Link shot an arrow and it then fell on it's back. Link got out his rod that he showed me earlier and he flung a small light on it and when he did the statue some how came to life. Link flung his arm down and the statue's hammer came down and it landed on the spider's belly.

But it wasn't enough to stop it. The spider got back on it's feet and it climbed up the wall and then back onto the ceiling. Once it got into the center of the ceiling several eggs came out of it's butt. Once the eggs landed on the ground they hatched and baby like spiders came out. I said,"Oh come on! that's cheating!!" Link and I manged to defeat some of them but then I saw a light above me and a lazer came down. I barely got out of the way in time, the lazer burnt my arm a little. I clutched my arm and Link said,"Oh shoot! (Y/n) are you all right?!" I said,"Slightly burnt! but I'm OK! just concentrate on the fight!"

Link nods his head and he turned his attention back to the spider and he did the same thing like last time. He waited for the spider to open it's eye lid and when it did Link shot his arrow on it's eye and it fell on it's back. Link used his rod on the statue and it then bashed on the spider's belly. He did this about two times until eventually, the spider curled itself into a ball and it's body crumbled away. Link and I sheathed our swords but then, we stared at it's eye dumbfounded because it's eye had transformed itself into a spider and it had it's babies with it. I sweat dropped and said,"Oh for the love of nayru, that thing is taking the mick out of us." Link nods his head and we walked towards it and we killed it's babies.

The spider crawled towards me but I stabbed it with my sword. Once it crumbled away tiny pieces of the mirror shard gathered together and then it became a shard again. Link caught it and then Midna came out of Link's shadow and said,"Three of the mirror shards are ours!" Midna took the mirror shard and said,"Just one left! Link... (Y/n)... you two how nasty that monster was, right? the evil within the shards is more powerful than you could imagine... You know, we could be assembling truly terrible here... It'll be something that we'll ultimately have to destroy..."

Midna floated away from us and she opened up a portal. She turned to look at us and she said,"We have to hurry! let's find the last shard, Link! (Y/n)!" She floated in the centre of the of the portal and she turned to us and said,"We have to reach the sky! that's where the last shard is supposed to be!" Link and I looked at each other and we nodded our heads. We held hands and we walked towards the portal and then we were back in the hall where we first came in.

Before we left the temple, I looked over my shoulder and I saw my father's ghost again and he was smiling at me. I smiled back and as I was about to go through the time portal again back to our world I felt an encouraging push from behind. I stumbled a little and my eyes widen in surprise at this. I looked over my shoulder again and my father's ghost was gone. I smiled and I said,"Thank you... father."

I walked through the time portal with a smile on my face and Link and I were back in our world.

3RD POV

After Link and (Y/n) headed back to their time, little they know that James's soul (AKA (Y/n)'s father.) stood in the centre of the empty and quiet hall with a smile on his face. He said,"My daughter has grown up and it appears I have you two to thank for." He said as he turned to look over his shoulder and Ryumma and Shadow were standing there with smiles on their faces.

Ryumma then said,"(Y/n) still has one more skill to learn and then she'll finally become one us, a true assassin." Shadow looked away sadly and when James saw this he said,"Do not feel sad Shadow even though that she doesn't know about you being on the enemy's side, she'll always have feelings for you, you did promise that you would look after her when Lucy and I died."

Shadow looked at James and he said,"But that still doesn't change the fact that if (Y/n) does find out about me she'll hate me for sure but, I will continue to protect her just as I promised." James smiled at Shadow and said,"Then go after her, do not worry about my daughter picking Link to be her lover she will always love you as a big brother you two were like siblings back to when you were kids were you not?"

Shadow looked at James and he then said,"Of course, thank you, James, goodbye." Shadow said as he walked towards the time portal to catch up with Link and (Y/n). Ryumma stood there with a smile on his face as he watched Shadow leave. James looked at Ryumma and said,"Ryumma, make sure (Y/n) learns the last skill." Ryumma smiled at him and said,"Of course I will, I'll see again on the other side, my friend." Ryuma transformed into his grey wolf form and he also leaves as well. James's soon fades away and he said,"Good luck, my daughter."
