Chapter 13 The Forest Temple Part 3

READER'S POV

After we got inside the baboon's dungeon the wooden gate came down and it blocked the door so that we couldn't escape. I turned around and I saw that baboon again but when I took a closer look at him there was something on his head it looked like a beetle maybe that's why it attacked us from earlier.

The baboon threw it's boomerang and then some plants came falling down from the ceiling and they were about to attack us the baboon then made a taunting noise and it turned around and slapped it's red butt again like last time.

A tick mark appeared on my head. I shouted,"Urrrrrrr!! I have just about had it with that baboon! come here!" Link shouted,"Uh (Y/N)! wait a minute!"

I ran towards that annoying baboon but those plants kept getting in the way so I managed to finish them off but that baboon kept hopping from one pillar to another.

I said,"That baboon is so dead" Link shouted,"(Y/N) calm for a minute will ya!"

Suddenly the baboon threw his boomerang at us luckily we dodged it in time and then I did something really stupid. I rolled and then I crashed in the pillar where that baboon was standing and then it got hit by it's own weapon.

"Link hurry up and attack while he's down!" I shouted. That's exactly what Link did but the baboon got up again and it was jumping from one pillar to another again.

"Link we need to wait for the right moment when stops once that happens one of us will have to bang on the that pillar!" I said. Link nods his head and said,"Okay sounds like a plan to me."

LINK'S POV

The baboon was still jumping onto one of the pillars until finally it stopped. I then rolled and then I crashed into the pillar and then the baboon got hit by it's boomerang again and then it fell. (Y/N) and I managed to attack it in time and then the baboon got up and it jumped up in pain it was hopping for a few seconds until it crashed into one of the pillars.

"Ooh that'll hurt" (Y/N) said. After the baboon fell on it's back something came off it's head it looked like a beetle.

(Y/N) said,"I thought so, that insect was controlling that baboon that explains why it was causing so much havoc in forest." I said,"you're definitely right"

The baboon got and it was having a look around then it turned around slowly until it saw us and it screamed and then it dashed off.

(Y/n) shook her head and said,"Man, no wonder that baboon got controlled by that insect it's so stupid and weird at the same time it didn't even put up a fight" I then said,"well he did leave his boomerang behind maybe it'll come in handy."

I was about to pick up the boomerang until it started spin on it's own. It said,"I am the fairy of Winds who resides in this boomerang. You have freed me from evil, and I now have my true power back. Please... Take it with you, use it to aid your quest, and may both my power and my blessing go with you. If you focus power in your boomerang before releasing it, it will unleash the power of wind, aiding you in unforeseen ways."

After it said that the boomerang flew around us for a moment and then I manage to catch it in time. Midna came out and said,"I bet even the monkeys should be satisfied now. OK, let's continue combing this place. We already found something good, so let's keep searching places we haven't looked yet."

(Y/n) said,"She has made a good point there, Link, besides now we can get the boss's key last time the gate couldn't be opened but now we've got that boomerang the it can be opened" I said,"You're right let's get going."

We were about to leave but the wooden gate was still shut I looked up and there was a small windmill above the door so I got the boomerang and then I focused some power in it and then I threw it at the wind mill and then it made the windmill spin but the gate only opened a little.

"Try throwing the boomerang at the windmill a few times Link" said (Y/N). That's exactly what I did and eventually the gate finally opened and then we headed back outside but the monkeys that were hanging on that rope from before were gone. However there was a bridge that was next to us but the wind blew on the windmill and then it faced in the other direction so I used the boomerang again and now the bridge was in the right position.

When we crossed the bridge an enemy showed up and it was abut to attack us but luckily (Y/N) stabbed it in time. I looked up and there another monkey but it was trapped in a hanging cage so (Y/N) threw one of her knives at the spider's thread and the cage fell. Like last time the monkey jumped up and down with joy and then it ran off somewhere.

Midna came out of my shadow and said,"Well, I guess there are still some monkeys you two haven't freed yet! At this point, you two should just save them all and see what you two can get for it!"

READER'S POV

After Midna went back into Link's shadow we crossed two more bridges and then we were back in the room where we rescued the other two monkeys from earlier. We headed down the stairs and then we back in the main hall and the other two monkeys were there we swung across to the platform I looked up and there was another chest but I was being hanged from a spider's thread so Link used his boomerang and then the chest fell down.

Link looked inside the chest and it contained a compass.

Midna came out of Link's shadow and she said,"Well, if it isn't that something useful. As long as you two have that, you two should be able to find where the captured monkeys are, right?"

We then went back into the other dungeon (the one that has water in it) and we headed back to the boss's chest and this time Link used his boomerang and he threw it in a zig zag pattern and then the gate finally opened. We went over to the chest and then we opened it and we got the boss's key to the boss's lair.

We turned around and we headed to the door the one that was close to the boss's chest. We went through the door and we were outside again. We crossed the bridge and we saw a monkey and it was trying to lead us to somewhere so we followed it and we saw another bridge but it was the same one like the one outside but there was no wind.

Link threw his boomerang at the windmill and then the bridge was pointing in our direction we crossed it and then we went through another door and we saw the other monkeys that we rescued from earlier.

Midna came out of Link's shadow and she said,"I guess in order for us to check the temple out completely, we need the help of the monkeys. Ah well... Let's help the rest of them!"

After Midna said that, (Y/N) went over to the ledge and she said,"well I can tell you this much, the boss's lair is just right over there but it's too far away for us to reach I'm thinking if we rescued the other monkeys they might be able to help us to get across to reach the boss's lair."

I turned around and Link was gone then from the distance I saw him climbing up the vines. I shouted,"LINK! you're not leaving me behind!" Link looked at me and said,"sorry about this (Y/N)! I'll rescue the other monkeys on my own I'll come back and get you as soon as I can!"

I sighed and said,"Fine but you owe me for this!"

I sat down on the step and I looked at the other monkeys they seem really happy about us helping them. Suddenly I heard something I stood up and I looked around little but I didn't see anything until black smoke covered me and then I was knocked out.

TIME SKIP... (Sorry but I didn't want to add in any more spoilers so for those who have played twilight princess you already know what happens)

LINK'S POV

I managed to rescue the other monkeys when I got back the monkeys were hanging like a rope but when I got back to where I left (Y/N) she was gone. When I grabbed onto the monkey's hands then I swung across but (Y/N) wasn't there then I heard someone growling behind me I unsheathed my sword and then I clashed with someone else's sword.

I looked at the person who I was fighting and it was me except he didn't have blonde hair or blue eyes like me he had black hair and red eyes.
