Alya's P.O.V.
I had been sat with Louise and Gemma beside the pool for almost twenty minutes and even if I tried, I could not concentrate on the conversation taking place at that moment. My mind was still stuck on Liam and his wellbeing. He seemed a little tensed and pale on the way back to the hotel. Ultimately, I decided to go and check if he was feeling all right.
After bidding goodbye to both the ladies, I headed for Liam's room as fast as I could, only to find that it was locked. I was about to call him to inquire about his whereabouts when I bumped into Zayn's bodyguard, who informed me that my man, along with his band members, was in Niall's room. Thanking him, I hurriedly made my way to the next floor, finally stopping outside Niall's room.
I could then hear the faint chuckling sounds coming from inside the room, which eventually died within a matter of few seconds. Finally, reaching for the doorknob, I turned it open and stepped inside. Before I could greet the lads, Zayn's unexpected words fell in my ears, catching me off guard, and I swallowed back the words that were about to escape from my mouth.
"Did you tell Alya that Claire is... I mean... was your girlfriend?"
Wait, what?!
Those words coming from Zayn left me dumbfounded and I did not know what to say or how to react then. That information completely took me aback. Claire used to be Liam's girlfriend and he did not even consider it important enough to tell me? Instead, he introduced her as his friend? However, why would he lie to me and also....
Suddenly, Louis spoke up, interrupting my thought process. "So she still doesn't know that you wanted to marry Claire and that you had actually proposed to her?"
What the hell? Liam wanted to marry Claire? Liam proposed to her?
What in the hell is happening here? Where is all this coming from all of a sudden?
'Liam wanted to marry Claire.' Those words continued echoing in my head, making me lose my sanity and I could feel my eyes welling up with tears. Concluding from whatever I had just heard, it was safe to say that Liam loved Claire a lot. I mean, he had even thought of marrying her.
Does that mean he is still in love with her?
Before Liam could give any logical answer to Louis' question, Harry noticed me standing at the doorstep, and his eyes widened in the next instant. He cursed aloud, which caused the other boys to turn in my direction. The moment they saw me standing there, they all seemed to be taken off-guard. It looked as if they had been caught doing something wrong.
