"He is her Home...
And he's always gonna be there for her...!!"
Liam's P.O.V.
"Can I use your phone for a second?" Alya asked, stepping forward and I met her eyes immediately. "I need to call Harry and---"
"No." I blurted out, stopping her in the middle of her sentence. My voice came out a bit loud and I, for sure, sounded impolite then. Alya seemed to have taken by surprise by my sudden snapping and watched me with furrowed brows.
"I mean... I... I just talked to Zaynie--" I started-off, looking away from her and cleared my throat before continuing, "--he'll be picking you up today." I told her, trying to sound as casual as I could.
"Why?" Her confused voice fell in my ears and she took a small step towards me.
"Harry is bit busy so Zayn offered that he would take you to the stadium." I lied to her, hoping that she'd buy it.
I was, under no circumstances, going to let her ride with Harry, especially after all the crap that been published about her but Alya seemed to be in a mood to irritate me more than I already was. I finally lost my chill when she chose to say the same thing over again.
"Let me just call Harry once and--"
Instantly, looking up from the floor, I passed her a furious look and she stopped talking immediately.
"I told you he's busy." I knew I was sounding too rude then but I couldn't think straight at all. "You think I'm lying?" My voice raised a bit while she stood still, not saying a word.
Why can't she just agree to what I'm saying without having to run a fucking marathon of questions?
"No baby." She spoke in a tender voice and placed her hand on my forearm. "I was just saying---"
"Just go and get ready, Alya." I spoke in a commanding tone and stepped away from her. I was literally in no mood to talk to her, rather anyone at that point of time. "You don't want to get us late." And with that, I started walking towards the guest room.
"What is wrong you with you? What's with that attitude?" Alya spoke aloud and my steps instantly came to a halt.
I knew I was being a dick to her but I was literally fighting a war with myself at that point of time. A few minutes ago, Zayn had informed me that apparently, Simon had nothing to do with that article since one of his relatives passed away and he was unavailable from the past few days. We'd been trying hard to find out that douche who gave the orders to publish that piece of shit but it turned out to be a futile attempt.
"If there's something bothering you, you can tell me baby." Alya's concerned voice fell in my ears and I finally turned around to meet her gaze.
I really wanted to hold her in my arms and assure her that everything was gonna be fine without having to let her know about the mess inside my head. Suddenly, the crappy words written in the article flashed in my mind and I was too close to let out my anger on anyone or anything.
"For the hundredth time, I'm fine. Okay?" I stated rudely. "Please stop bugging me now." I huffed through gritted teeth.
"I know something's not okay and you won't even let me help you." Her voice cracked and I knew she would start crying if I threw another harsh word towards her so I decided to stay quiet. "And on top of that, you're being so rude to me. That's not fair, Liam." She sounded angry and hurt at the same time.
