"In any serious relationship, if you don't gather your partner's opinion before making a decision that impacts you both...

You're just storing up trouble for the future...!!"

Liam's P.O.V.

"Tell me Alya," I demanded her silence was then irritating the hell out of me. Turning in my direction, she looked up, finally meeting my gaze and I noticed the small tears collected at the corner of her eyes.

"Baby, I love my work." She simply stated.

"More than me?" I was prompt with my question; my tone gave away the fear of losing her.

"No. No, Liam," Her reply was instant and I let out a sigh of relief. "It's just that I cannot... I cannot choose between the two of you," She said and a small tear finally managed to escape from her eye and came rolling down her cheek, which she quickly wiped away before continuing, "You can't even compare these... these two things - my love for you and my work." She explained and took a step closer towards me, taking my right hand in both of hers while I made no effort to pull it back. "I love you. I love you too much, baby. But I love my job too." She gave a gentle squeeze to my hand and I sighed heavily, looking away from her.

"But you'll still be getting to do the same thing, Alya," I said, trying to put across my point of view and glanced back at her, meeting her eyes and spoke up again. "I mean what is wrong with using my money?" I had started to get irritated by then and looked away again.

Why the hell can't she try to see things from my perspective for once?

"Baby, you need to understand that some people already think that I'm with you just for your money." Her words took me aback and I snapped my head in her direction, furrowing my brows at her while she continued speaking. "And if I quit doing these shows now, it'll only make their point seem legit, which is not at all true." Her voice cracked by the end of the sentence and I could tell she was trying hard to hold back her tears. "They would be getting a reason to throw all kind of false allegations at me," with that, she rested her forehead against the knuckles of our intertwined hands.

"That only means you don't trust me, Alya," I stated and she instantly looked up, staring at me in confusion. Cupping her face with both of my hands, I wiped away the tears from her cheeks and spoke again. "Do you really think I'd let people talk shit about you. You, the person I love the most in this world?" I said in a loving voice.

"It's not gonna be that easy, Liam." She said, shaking her head repeatedly. "You, too, know that media people just need the tiniest of reason to print any kind of shit." She spoke in a low voice and glanced down, her gaze got fixated on my shoulder as she continued. "And when they'll find out I've given up my work but I'm still continuing to run my charities; it's gonna be a huge reason for them to write about it, for I don't know how long and I----"
