"Family isn't blood...

It's the people who love you; The people who have your back no matter what...!!"

Liam's P.O.V.

"You can leave if you want Zayn. I'll be fine." I spoke in a composed tone after sitting in silence for almost half an hour. I could tell from his body language that he was, somewhere, feeling too torn between me and Alya and I didn't want to keep him all to myself.

I mean, as long as nobody forces Alya to come back to me or talk to me, I don't mind any of the lads spending time with her because she, too, needs support at this point of time; Probably more than me. And Zayn, being the closest one out of the lot, could really cheer up her mood and make her feel better.

Glancing at me, he shifted uncomfortably in his seat, only making my point clear. "Paddy is here so don't worry." I assured him. "Yeah Zayn. He's right." Paddy spoke from behind and Zayn exchanged a concerned look between the two of us.

"I... I don't know what to do. How...how to help you out but I don't wanna leave, bro." He sounded too helpless.

"I'm seriously fine, Zayn. Also, me and Alya will get through this shit too. Like always." I passed him a fake smile so as to convince him that he didn't need to stress about us.

"I hope so too." He said, letting out a heavy sigh and patted on my thigh. "And you need to get some rest, mate. Before you, actually, hit the ground and bang your head or something!" He added the last words quickly in a taunting way and a small smile spread across my face.

"Yeah, I guess I should." I said, rubbing the forehead with the palm of my hand. "This headache is getting worse." I huffed and Zayn patted on my back. "Go." He said.

The moment I stood up from the couch, Paddy held out a glass of water for me in one hand and a medicine in the other. "Here, have this first." He spoke in a calm voice. Taking both the things from his hands, I quickly gulped it down my throat. Handing back the empty glass to Paddy, I nodded my head, thanking him.

I had just taken a step before I turned around and called for Paddy. "I'm sorry for being such an ass!" I apologized for my fucked up behavior towards him and he passed me a smile, gesturing me that he was cool then. "And Zayn, thank you bro." I passed him an appreciative look and he returned me a small smile.

No words will be enough to express how thankful I am to have both of them here for me, right now, when I needed someone the most.

Finally, I made my way in the direction of the stairs. I had just stepped out of the lobby when Zayn's voice fell into my ears, making me stop then and there. "Did you meet Alya before she left?" He was asking Paddy and I could sense the concern in his voice towards her. "Yeah. She seemed miserable." He told Zayn and I felt my heart, drop.

Everybody could see how wretched and unhappy she was with me. I wouldn't be surprised if every single one of them gave Alya's side because I knew, I fucked up things, yet again. She had already given way too many chances to me. Also, if I had seen Alya in a situation like mine, I would've lost all my shit and that too, real bad. It was natural for her to behave the way she did. She must be so heartbroken to see me in someone else's bed; in Claire's bed. Fuck!

"But what I don't understand is that, why is she behaving this way? I mean, I'm sure Liam didn't do anything whatever she's thinking. Isn't it?" Zayn spoke again.
