Chapter 51

Cooper's P.O.V.

I don't know if I was just so desperate that I made up a scenario where Dad is here or if he was really here to protect us once again? Nick did look amazed too so I must not be thr only one who can see what's happening, Dad came so quick that the concrete under his feet broke when he landed that punch to Maple who had no idea of the oncoming attack, this pissed off Rio and Leo who tried to heal Maple who showed no signs of being able to be brought back from that wound. Then just as we thought it was over, Maple's corpse moved a bit before a box of sorts appeared next to it, a puzzle box? Rio and Leo slowly lifted up the box and put it closer to us but Dad swung at them, but they didn't get as wounded as Maple, so I'm guessing that Maple was the weakest one.

Rio and Leo hissed like animals at Dad before they picked up Maple's head and corpse saying

"This isn't the last of us! We'll get you for killing one of our own!" Then they ran off to quick for anyone to try to go after them.

Dad untied Nick and I from the rope and later brought Cole who was still out of it, Wrath who was too busy seeing stars while Greed was brought back yet didn't look so great as if he had seen one of the most horrible things.

I didn't want to ask him what they made him saw to make him look so scared as it was insensitive of me to do so, Dad just sighed still not saying a word.

"Please be more careful, I can't afford to save you guys each time to my dismay. I really failed you guys, such a young age and left to do all the hard work that I was supposed to do for you, I can't stay long as I only had enough power to defeat those guys but nothing that could make me stay long enough." Dad hugged both Nick and I before turning to go back to his grave and rest once more.

I went to go check on the citizens who were thankfully fine thanks to Greed's help while some Knights did make it thanks to Wrath still couldn't even stand up. Cole was in a peaceful sleep from what it seemed but I did want to take him tl the hospital back home as we don't know what they did to Cole exactly to knock him out and if it's bad or not.

Timeskip

We made it back with little to no casualties and Cody was nice enough to send me a message that he would send his best construction workers to help rebuild some of the houses or buildings that got destroyed in the attack which would cross off one of my worries on the list, Cole was fine and just supposed to stay in the hospital for a few days to make sure nothing happens to him. Wrath was fine by the time we made it back and snoring away with his teddy bear plush but he would be out for a while as he did use all of his energy trying to keep himself and other people safe. Greed was fine with only some scratches but mentally needed a break so I didn't say much to him the whole way back as he just went straight(he isn't straight but you know what I mean) home. Wrath was happy and just eating his snacks as if he didn't get beaten with a quarter of his life by Rio, Maple, Leo earlier, he sure loved hospital food unlike most people who don't. I really wonder how this guy functions, but then again he was a bit different and some people were sure than this guy had a mental disorder, but Grandpa Cody believes that there is no need for real therapists or psychiatrists.

He quotes 'Everyone here is happy so why need therapy like humans do?' No one could disobey grandpa as this old man was not to be messed with. He wasn't too happy when people tried to tell him that therapy may be needed and they were executed secretly yet I was able to be forced to watch the horrible trial. Cody really was a piece of trash, this place had so many rules to follow to the point that even girls only could have 4 hairstyles here. Boys had no restrictions to be exact compared to the girls here, yet everyone seemed to happy and pleased with this messed up system. If I become King, will I have to reinforce these rules on people to one day?
