Chapter 31

Cooper was in his cell as usual and he wanted nothing more than to hurt the guard outside his room guarding him for safety, they tested many things and they recorded many different things and one of the things was a baby crying to see what'd he do. They were taken by surprise when they saw Cooper hadn't even spared a glance even if the recording was from an actual baby, Cooper didn't react to crying or anything besides random static noises or other things that actually made him react compared to the crying child they had recorded for the that sole purpose of a reaction. They sometimes got a pissed off Cooper from the audio prompts so they'd give Cooper a little shock therapy in a way that made Cooper go from bloodshot eyes to his normal ones as they took that as a sign of Cooper growing violent, they've already recently been giving Cooper shock therapy as it seems to stop the magic from taking over at times. He was hanging out with the other patients after growing used to them and they had many conversations until they landed on a topic of homemade food as Cooper could kill for mushy brownies with melted chocolate chips inside which confused most of the 'parasites' as they are called that as they aren't considered as Sprites anymore.

"You guys never had brownies? My Dad made that for me when I had great grades in school! They don't give you guys solid food or anything? They give me some." The patients explained that the scientists think they don't need food which they don't, but it would be nice to eat something.

They got vitamin pills or shots instead of solid food unlike Cooper who doesn't get experimented with as much since he's normal and only needs a boost, Cooper was allowed to get food from his family on good behavior. He had been behaving well the whole time he was there, he planned on asking the most trust worthy family member for some supplies to make the brownies, he dialed in a number and Kat had answered the call.

"Hey Kat can you please bring the ingredients needed to make Dad's precious brownies? You already know the recipe by heart so if you could bring some over here that'd be helpful." Kat wasn't totally convinced to help.

"I can get the ingredients for you to the ward but why all of a sudden? What's in it for me to bring all the mixing bowls and spoons along with the ingredients?" Cooper smiled cause she sure knew how to get things.

"Let me remind you that I saved your life from her and all the others when you came to visit, I was untouchable and could have left while you all panicked there. But I can make it worthy your while, you scratch my back and I scratch yours." Kat stayed quiet on the phone before she groaned and agreed to get the stuff for Cooper.

Timeskip

Cooper was at the visiting station waiting with what was a rare sweet smile nowadays as he smiled at Kay who arrived with everything as she handed it to the guards to put in Cooper's room, Kat was happy to see Cooper smiling like he used to as they spoke to each on what's been happening lately on their sides. Kat told Cooper that Nick was still recovering from his wounds he got from the copy as Cooper listened with guilt hitting him harder than bricks as Kat went on about how Nick thought Cooper was a monster when his magic flared up taking control of Cooper making his eyes bloodshot. Kat was happy to finally chat to her big brother as she knew that Cooper didn't get to be with them as Kat had to defend Cooper's name at school because people would pity her and ask if Cooper was always pretending to be innocent and now finally snapped and needed to be taken away. Cooper felt pain for his sister having to do that for him because he had been a piece of shit who failed to just be a normal person and now his sweet little sister and older siblings were dealing with the bullshit he had stirred. Why must he cause so much trouble for his friends or family?
