Cooper's P.O.V.

My siblings have been interesting to test over the years without them knowing it's a way to survive and for fun at times. There's a lot you learn about your siblings over the years good or bad but the thing is that they seem identical in personality for different reasons. Let's start with oldest to youngest and make sure to remember these all anyways Petals the first born is a calm gurl she's never hit me but hasn't ever defended me from Blue and Nick. She has average skills and is smart enough to keep decent grades but she is isn't weak and has beaten up Blue before even for no reason sometimes. She has fought back but she never seems to defend Kat or myself though she does look like she feels guilty about it sometimes.

Petals is smart and knows what life was like when Father and Dad weren't so angry at each other or at least that's what she tells us all. To think there was once a happy life before things went cold but yet she seems to distant from us her siblings that she's supposed to help. I can't really blame her for it though since everyone's on their own for most part in this household even when Dad tells us to get along cause one day we'll need to stick together if something we're to happen to him. I tried asking what that means but my siblings all brush me off saying "You'll never get it even if we tell you" so i don't want to know that much anymore. I've caught Dad crying before and each time he has bruises but when I confronted him once all he said was that he was hurt that it's alright to cry when hurt and tucked me into bed before leaving.

Dad always cries yet he never answers our questions of concern but my siblings seem to know what's going on. They won't tell me at all so i went to see him again but a man was there telling him to leave our family and return to his home without any worries. He declined the offer even though he seems beat up and said "You lost me when you said i had to leave my family and I'm doing my job as a parent making sure they are ready to make the world a better place and that they do the same when their time comes to parent their own children" which left me thinking. I walked up to him and all he did was smiling asking me of my day while he complimented my ideas and helped solve tweaks by giving his opinion. I didn't know what to do so i told Linnie and he said "We all feel sad at times and it's fine to let it out" but he won't say anything else after that.

It probably isn't my concern i guess but I would like to know if i had the chance to. Dad has told me one of his many jobs is a cop and that he's seen some "funny" things yet won't tell me until I'm in highschool. Two more years to go but Dad never seems happy when he mentions that but tries to be for some reason. I went up to my Dad and asked

"May I go out with Linnie to the town since i finished all my work and have good grades?" I ask nervous but determined.

He just nods with a smile and mumbles but i caught what he said

"Wish i could go put with my friends but their in the other kingdom and if they come here HE won't allow me to see them or call them." A single tear goes down his face.

I didn't say anything and went outside where Linnie was but he seemed so intimidating and was smiling ear to ear. I only ever see that expression when he doesn't see me coming yet I'm not scared at all since we've been friends for years and he hasn't hurt me at all. Once he notices me his smile turns into a smaller one and his glaring eyes turn soft and warm. Linnie usually follows my lead when we go out so i grab his hand we head towards town to do whatever would be fun and mostly safe to do with a little or lot of danger only to us but we have done this so much over the years. I don't worry about getting hurt badly since i only get scratches or boo boo's or nothing at most so I'll be fine and Linnie never gets hurt anymore.
