Cooper's P.O.V.
Me asking about dad's medicine is still a bit of a mystery but none less I have some information on it that will one day be cracked. Let's focus on a more important manor although the medicine is quite an odd case. For my whole life, I've never known what either of my parent's names was since Dad said that my siblings and myself don't need to know that. My other 8 siblings have tried to figure out my parent's names but it seems my dad figured out all the loopholes which made it impossible. The teachers only call us by our first names in attendance and when we get awards they only have our first names on them.
My siblings suspect that he made it so that the teachers or anyone would call us by our first names even when we tried asking them for info none would budge. Even I personally asked but all he said
"Why need those names when one day you'll have a new name once you are wed?" He said
I told him what if I want to keep the family name? His response was
"You wouldn't want your Father's last name but most importantly mine?"
I was surprised and left speechless. I asked Father and all he said was
"You didn't care about that before so why do you care now?" He said coldly.
Which made things go downhill the more I spoke. Dad yet again responded with
"You won't need my name since you won't remember me in the future," he said in a bittersweet tone.
Which only confuses me and my other siblings even more.
Blue and Nick seemed worried about Dad which makes me worry about why he doesn't tell us who father and himself are. Father almost told us but then Dad came in and said
"It sure would be would be bad if a person told the kids especially if you're that person," he said in a weird tone.
That seemed to make Father shut up. Is it that bad to know what their names are or something? Dad always says we don't need to know but I feel that we gave the right to know like anyone else! It's hard to read Dad sometimes since he is always calm and is almost always doing the unpredictable somehow.
I looked into Dad's past more and apparently back at his kingdom there was this group that was called "The Gate" containing nothing but children. They seem to only give children a job like this if they don't seem to be of use in any way but the thing is that the children need to fight those who try to enter his kingdom. As a result of these actions, the children of the gate are killed but no one but the parents and the other children cares that they die. I found a picture in Dad's photo album of him posing with a bunch of children while the sides are all signed with names and short quotes. But on the next page is a new image of the same children laying on the ground sleeping while others didn't have their arms or other things which makes me hope that they were healed in time though it seems that Dad is standing the middle of it all.
I can help but feel a chill go down my spine when I see those cold eyes Dad has in this picture from when he was younger. I wish I knew why he looked so upset if they were all just sleeping but I guess he must have been a hard person to please as a kid. That doesn't make sense to me at all since he seems to be happy with anything you give him even if it doesn't have any use! It is possible that people are different as kids and he may have matured or maybe he just had a bad day when they took this picture of him? I look at other pictures to see if I might be wrong about the theory but in most pictures, he doesn't seem to smile but glare with icy eyes at the camera.
