Outburst

Aurora POV
Sand. That's all we saw. We had all been walking for hours and to be honest my hip was starting to kill me. I looked over to Lilly and noticed that her calf was starting to bug her as well.

"When do we stop?!" One of the kids from the facility yelled at me.

"When we are far enough that you can't be taken again!" I yelled back.

He grumbled and Vince dropped back to talk to him. I was getting irritated, he was the 16th person to ask me that, my hip is killing me and there's nowhere to sit, nothing for miles. Then I stumbled a bit, slightly rolling my ankle in the process. Thomas reached over to keep me from falling on my face and I muttered out a thanks making him nod in return.

"How much longer do you think we have?" Newt asked.

I threw the bag I was carrying on the ground in anger.

"THATS IT! YOU CAN ALL TRAVEL BY  YOURSELVES! IM DONE!" I screamed and walked off in the other direction, leaving everyone shocked.

Lilly POV
What an outburst. She just yelled and walked off, not something she would usually do. She wouldn't yell at someone, especially Newt, those two have some weird friendship thing that no one else understands.

"Do you think we should go after her?" Sonya asked.

"Of course we should! She's our friend and she just lost her cool," I replied.

"But she didn't seem pretty happy with us all," Gally said.

I looked at Newt. "Newt will go talk to her, won't you?"

Newt gave me a look. "Of course I will!" And with that, he walked off.

Newt POV
Aura has never shouted like that before! Not before the facility. Lilly told me to go after her, so, being the friend I am, I did. I ran after her, my limp slowing me down but I still ran. I found her sat on the sand a few metres from where the group was. She was sat facing where we had come from and had curled herself into a tight ball.

"Hey, you ok?" I asked gently sitting next to her.

"Just leave me alone," she mumbled.

"Can you tell me what's wrong?" I asked.

"Just leave me alone!" She shouted raising her head to look at me.

I noticed the tear stains on her cheeks and I nodded pulling her into a hug, which she returned quickly. She was the first girl in our maze, best runner we had. She quickly made friends and everyone knew her as the feisty smart one. No one ever saw her cry. She never did, or it seemed that way. She pulled out of our hug and stood up slowly.

"You should get back to them," she told me.

"I'm not going back until you tell me what's wrong, besides your coming with us." I responded.

"One I'm not coming with you and two I'm fine, just a bit annoyed," she said.

"One you are coming with us and two what can we do to make you less annoyed?" I asked her.

"You can't I'm not coming with you and that's final!" She told me, turning away and crossing her arms.

"Please, we all need you. Besides who's going to entertain me while we're walking?" I said trying to convince her.

Aurora POV
I hesitated and looked at Newt, who was pouting, I pursed my lips.

"Fine," I scoffed.

He smiled and dragged me back over to the group.

"Your back!" Lilly said engulfing me in a hug.

"Ow ow ow!" I cried.

"Oh sorry," she said.

She dropped the hug and smiled at me. I smiled back and picked up my bag. Slinging it over my shoulder I shouted to everyone.

"MOVE!" And we set off again.
