Aurora POV
I woke up on a bed with someone dabbing a warm cloth on my forehead. I slowly opened my eyes to a woman with blonde hair smiling down at me.

"Go get your brother will you?" The woman asked a girl in the corner of the room, who quickly ran out.

"S-sorry, who are you?" I asked, looking her over.

The woman seemed oddly familiar but from where I didn't know.

"I'm Newt's mother sweetheart, you can call me Emily though," Emily smiled.

"No," I mumbled, pushing up off the bed and walking backwards towards a wall, still in the same pants and bra from when I fell in the water.

"What do you mean no?" Emily asked standing up, with a confused smile. "It's ok, no one here will hurt you."

"Your dead," I mumbled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that," Emily smiled wider.

"YOUR DEAD!" I yelled. "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!! I KILLED YOU!! WCKD MADE ME KILL YOU!!"

Emily just stood there, shocked, as Newt and Thomas came running into the room.

"Mum!" Newt yelled running over to his mother.

"I'm fine Newt, but your friend here seems a bit off." Emily looked at me weirdly.

Newt turned to me with anger in his eyes.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO MY MUM?!" He yelled.

I felt tears stream down my face as I sunk to the floor my head tucked behind my knees as I sat in a ball sobbing.

"She's supposed to be dead, you're supposed to be my boyfriend, you're supposed to love me," I sobbed quietly.

It was so quiet that you could hear pin-drop. I sat against the wall in my ball silently as tears slid down my cheeks, listening to everyone in the rooms heartbeat, just trying to focus on one in particular. Newt. Even though the reality Newt was different it still felt as though he was my anchor, the one keeping me from killing everyone in sight. Suddenly I felt a presence beside me.

"I'm sorry for yelling," Newt's accented voice mumbled, loud enough for me to hear.

I hummed in response, still trying to control my sobbing. I was still cold, meaning I was shaking like crazy and didn't pay much attention to it until I felt warm arms wrap around my balled up figure, pulling me closer to them. I looked up to see Newt looking down at me.

"Just rest, ok. Your still freezing cold," he said.

I hesitantly rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. Feeling his headrest on mine, I couldn't help but smile.

"Sweetheart?" Emily asked, walking over and placing a blanket over us both. "At you hungry?"

At those words, my eyes shot open and my head shot up, hitting Newt's nose in the process.

"Yes please." I smiled, and for the first time since being in this horrid reality, it wasn't forced.

"Ow," Newt whined, clutching his nose.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry," I sprung up to grab the warm cloth from Emily's hands and went back to Newt. "Here put this on it."

"Fanks," he said, squishing the cloth to his nose.

"What would you like dear?" Emily chuckled.

"Do you happen to have any ice cream?" I asked, spinning around to look at her.
