The night before

Aurora POV
It was the night of the formal. Actually, I lie, it was the night before the formal. Lilly and I were beyond excited. Our dresses were hung in my room seeing as I had the bigger wardrobe, for some odd reason. At the moment Lilly and I were sat in her room talking to each other about how the night was gonna go.

"I am so going to be dancing with Tommy all night," Lilly exclaimed. "Except my feet might get sore so we'll reserve a table that we can all use, just in case."

"Well if you need me I'll be by the food and drink table all night. Oh that foods gonna be delicious, I can't wait!" I told her laying back on her bed.

"No you have to dance! Newt will want you to!You should do it for him," Lilly exclaimed to which I rolled my eyes playfully.

Thomas POV
I was sat in Newts room talking about the formal and how it was going to go.

"Tony got us a limo," I said staring at the ceiling.

"Nice," Newt replied picking at the book in his hands. 

"You know Aurora is not going to like it if you ruin her book," I stated sitting up.

He turned his head to glare at me before going back to the book.

"I guess your right. I'm just nervous about tomorrow night," He mumbled.

"Well tell me what you're going to do. Like for example Lilly and I will probably dance for most of the the night," I explained to him.

"Well I'm pretty sure Aura will just end up over by the snack table and honestly I'll be right there with her. I'm not really into dancing in front of people," Newt explained.

"You danced at her party," I brought up.

"That's because it was her birthday," Newt snapped.

"I bet she'll want to dance at this as well Newt," I said turning my head to glance up at the ceiling again.

Suddenly there came a bang from my door and I bolted upright. There in the doorway was Lilly and Aurora. Lilly smiled at us both and walked in. Aurora finally got out of Lilly's grip and bounded over to Newt, who threw out his arms and wrapped her in a hug.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Lilly is mad at me," Rora mumbled into her boyfriends shoulder.

I gave Lilly a confused look and she sighed.

"Aurora said the only thing she wants to do at the formal is stand around eating and drinking." She explained.

I looked at the couple, who were both staring at us both. Newt looked pleased that his girlfriend had the same idea as him and Aurora seemed proud at what she wanted to happen.

"You guys have to dance! It's-uh-it's a rule!" I rushed out.

"We don't want to. And if we have to, we may as well just not go," Newt declared to which Aurora violently nodded her head at.

"NO!" Lilly shouted. "YOU HAVE TO DANCE! YOU HAVE TO COME! I WANT YOU GUYS TOO!"

Newt's eyes widened at Lilly's raised voice and he glared at me.

"What Lilly means to say is that, YOU HAVE TO DANCE BECAUSE IT IS A WINTER DANCE!" I repeated.

"Fine," Newt snapped jumping up and dragging Aurora out with him.

"No, Newt! Come back! And bring Aurora with you!" I called out standing up.

"NO WE ARE NOT GOING TO THAT STUPID DANCE!" Newt yelled out.
