The real deal

Lilly POV
So I was nervous big deal. I mean was this my first mission? No. Was it my first mission with Earth mightiest heroes? Yes. But I was going to nail it. They wouldn't ask me to come with if I didn't have no clue to what I was going to do.

"Okay guys we are fighting Loki today, he's a shapeshifter and god of mischief and he also happens to be Thor's brother." Tony explained.

I nodded rapidly trying to take in all the information. I wish Rora was here, she picks up things ridiculously fast it's unnatural. But she was asleep with her soon to be boyfriend. Yes I was sat making up ways to get them together I mean who wouldn't. We landed a few mins later and my nerves took over and I fiddled with the gun that was pressed against my left thigh as we prepared to walk out. Nat put a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"You will be ok,"she said smiling lightly.

I smiled back at her and she walked over to Tony. We walked out the lowering door and to where Loki was.

"Come with us brother and none shall be harmed!" Thor yelled at him.

"If only it was that simple," Loki said with a mischievous grin.

I looked around we were near a bridge that carried trains back and forth. As a train came speeding along past us it hit me, I knew what he had done.

"The bridge! You put a bomb on it!" I yelled.

"New avenger, smart, you could do with some new, younger people," Loki started, "Your right little one, I put I bomb in the bridge seeing as I didn't know what else to use but the downside is only I can start it and it can't be stopped."

I watched him smile and we all heard a click. The bomb had started and we couldn't do anything about it besides stop the train.

"We need to stop the train!" I called out.

Tony nodded and Clint used one of his arrows to land a camera in top of the train. I used my ability of water bending to bend water in front of the train and turned it into, then I used earth bending to cover the tracks in vines in case the ice didn't work which I was hoping it would. The train sped through the ice and crushed the vines as the bomb beeped faster signalling it was about to blow. Despite the calls of the others I ran towards the bridge and leaped onto the train. It was filled with cargo and I was thankful Loki picked a day with no other people but the conductor. I made my way to the front and told the conductor what was going to happen. He allowed me to throw him out the train and as he landed on a bunch of vines I had set out for him, I heard the last few clicks of the bomb, that was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.

Tony POV
The bridge exploded with Lilly still inside, I flew over in my suit to get her out, avoiding all the rubble that was falling. Aurora would literally kill me if I let her friend die and Lilly was a great addition to the team yet I hadn't told her that yet. When I got back Loki was gone, the conductor had taken off and everyone was in the quinjet. I rushed in and laid Lilly on one of the 'beds' we had. Nat checked her pulse and breathing.

"No pulse," she said looking up at us all.

I took my suit off and ran my hands through my hair. I couldn't bring her back to life, that was impossible.

"Wait didn't you say Aurora can restart hearts? Bring someone back from the dead?" Clint asked.

We all froze and I pulled up Jarvis.

"Jarvis, bring up a scan of Aurora for me," I said.

"Of course sir. Bringing up scan now," the AI replied.

I ran over the scan and took in a sharp breath.

"Clint get us back to the facility NOW!" I demanded.

If Aurora could restart hearts this was sure her chance to prove it.

Aurora POV
I woke up to the sound of shouting and the quinjet landing. I groaned. I had the best sleep ever.

"You seemed to have a good sleep," Newt exclaimed his British accent revealing itself.

I looked up at him and smiled then I realised I was holding his hand and quickly looked down, pulling my hand away. I think he wasn't happy by that movement cause he got up and walked out.

"Wait!" I called after him trying to get up.

He ran back into the room and over to grab me and move me to the side of the room.

"Hey I want to lay back down what are you doing?" I questioned.

Then Bruce ran in with medical equipment and a lot of bandages.

"How many times has he been in when I was asleep?" I asked.

Newt looked extremely worried and Thomas ran into the room and over to us.

"What's happening?" I asked yet again.

"Do you think she can handle it?" Thomas asked.

"Who handle what?" I asked for the fourth time.

"I hope so otherwise I don't know what will happen." Newt replied to Thomas.

I was getting annoyed. I'd asked four questions now and none of them had been answered. Then Nat ran in, then Clint, then Steve, then Tony and finally Thor who was carrying a body. Not just any body, Lilly's body. I took one look at her limp body and chocked back tears, I pressed myself further into Newt's chest and he tightened his grip around my smaller frame, hugging me. Tony walked over as Thor placed Lilly's body on my bed.

"We need you to restart her heart." He told me.

"What!?" I yelled as tears streamed down my face.  "I've just seen my lifeless friend and now you want me to restart her heart?! I can't do that?! I don't know how!"

"You will if you actually get in touch with your inner abilities." He said.

"Jarvis, what's the most likely percent chance of us both surviving this?" I asked the AI.

"You both have a 45% chance of surviving together," the robotic voice echoed.

"Good enough," I said starting to walk over to the bed.

Before I could go any further, Newt pulled my back in to face him and kissed me passionately. At first I was surprised but I kissed him back, then I broke away from the kiss and hugged him and he placed his head in the crook of my neck.

"Be careful," he said.

"I will," I said giving him one last look before going over to Lilly.

I sat on the chair Newt had previously sat on and a surprised Tony ushered everyone out the room.

"We will be monitoring both yours and Lilly's heart rate from outside," Bruce explained.

I nodded before the door was shut, everyone was out waiting patiently for me to bring my friend back from the dead.

"Get in touch with my abilities, I can do that." I stood up and took a deep breath.

I closed my eyes and eventually connected with my inner abilities. My eyes snapped open glowing a piercing blue brighter than before, my hair floated around and glowed blue as well. But then came what I wasn't expecting, what was going to help me restart my friends heart. Chaos magic twisted around my shoulder blades and head turning into wings, devil horns and an angels halo. I gasped at the transformation and realised what had to be done. I plunged my hand through the skin on Lilly's chest and found her heart, I gripped it and sent chaos magic along with bolts of electricity shooting down my arm and to her heart. I shocked her heart twice and the third time her eyes snapped open and I retraced my hand. I moved my other hand, which wasn't covered in blood, over her chest without touching the skin, healing it up to look as it did before. I collapsed into the chair smiling weakly, everything that was just there had disappeared and Bruce ran into the room.

"Your incredible! Lilly's heart rate is back and pumping! And-" he started.

"Nice to see you too Banner," Lilly stated propping herself up on her elbows.

Tony ran in and clapped my on the back.

"Now that kid, was the real deal!" he said.
