Haunted

Aurora POV
"I tried love, you have to believe me before I tell you this, I tried to stop you," newt explained.

"What. Happened." I asked through gritted teeth.

Newt sighed and looked over at Thomas who was comforting Lilly. Thomas nodded, telling him to tell me the story.

"You-uh-you killed people. You'd rip out their hearts and watch as they fall to the ground. Then when we came to get you, you looked right at us and killed the five year old next to you," Newt explained. "And you said some things that Tony said you would have thought at some point."

"What did I say," I muttered, tears staring to fall down my face.

"You said that love is just a word after I told you how I loved you and not Teresa, even though she kiss-" Newt started.

"Just stop, please!" I shouted, tears falling faster down my cheeks.

Newt immediately stopped and pulled me into a tight hug, making me feel safe and protected from WCKD and the harm they had caused. I cried into his chest until I couldn't cry anymore. My tear ducts were dry and I breathed heavily.

"Hey, calm down. I'm here now. We all are," Newt whispered rubbing circles on my back.

"They should get some rest," Tony said gently from outside the room. "Newt and Thomas, you guys should move Lilly's bed to her room."

The boys nodded and Newt tried to stand up.

"Please, don't leave," I mumbled. 

"Stark said you need your rest and as much as I hate the thought of being without you right now, I agree with him." Newt explained unhooking my arms from his body and helping Thomas take the bed out. 

After they left and Tony shut the door behind them I cried. I laid down and eventually cried myself to sleep.

Lilly POV
I'd fallen asleep in Thomas a while ago but as soon as the bed moved I jolted awake.

"We're just moving your bed," Thomas quietly stated putting the bed down in my room.

I found that I was being carried in Tony's arms and I gave him a small smile which he returned. Thomas came over and took me from Tony, before carrying me to my bed and laying down.

"Tommy! Stay!" I shouted as he went to leave.

"I can't Tony said I-" he started.

"Actually you could if you wanted too. It's just I'm nervous Aurora will be traumatised and have a nightmare and we kind of need her boyfriend alive to calm her down. Not saying you aren't traumatised of course," Tony explained to us all.

"Couldn't you have just said that to her as well?" Newt asked.

"If she knew she wouldn't have gone to sleep." He stated.

Aurora POV
I woke up in a cave I recognised to be the one I found Lilly in.

"No," I exclaimed. 

I walked to where I had seen her first and sure enough there were all the bodies but no Lilly. Suddenly, something wrapped around my waist and quickly pulled me back into the water. It pulled me down, down, down. The. The scene changed. I was in the street we'd killed on first and I was surrounded by everyone I'd killed including the five year old boy who still had a knife in his torso. I ran over to him and tried to stop the bleeding. I knew he was dead so I don't know why I did it.

"You killed us!" The boy echoed.

"YOU KILLED US!" They chanted. "YOU MONSTER! YOU DESERVE TO BE DEAD!!"

"No," I mumbled clasping my hands to my ears.

They continued to chant. Over and over again. Their voices giving me a headache. I felt tears form in my eyes and pour down my face. I looked up to see Newt come out of the group.

"Who could love you?" He asked nastily. "You wanna know why I kissed Teresa? Because I love her, more than I could ever love you! You're a monster!"

I clasped my eyes shut and covered my ears. But I could still hear the voices. When I couldn't bare it anymore I screamed. As loud as I could, to wake me up from this monstrosity.

I bolted straight up, screaming. The walls around me were peeling and the ground was shaking. I shut my mouth and broke down into tears as the door of my room burst open and Newt ran over to me, dragging me into a hug.

"I'm here, it's ok, you're ok," Newt reassured me as I cried into his shoulder. "Can you tell me what happened?"

"I'm haunted," was the only thing I managed to get out.
