The machine

Newt POV
The sun was setting and the sky had turned orange. There was a huge black panther on the edge of a cliff and as we landed Aura toppled off my chest hitting the floor and waking up.

"Ow," she groaned.

"Here let me help," Bucky said helping her up.

I felt my jaw and fists clench. I was jealous, Aura was an amazing girl and she was extremely pretty, but she was also surrounded by handsome bulky men, unlike me. I was shorted than most of them, taller than Aura, Lilly and Tommy but shorted than the others, plus I was blond unlike everyone else and I had this stupid limp that slows everyone down, Aura probably doesn't even like me.

"It doesn't slow everyone down and I think your hair is adorable and your just the right height," Aura exclaimed.

I looked up and everyone was looking at me including a now very awake Lilly.

"I said that out loud didn't I?" I asked.

They all nodded and Aura came over as I put my head in my hands.

"And I do like you, very very much!" She exclaimed hugging me.

I stood up and hugged her back hiding my now pink face in her bruised neck. She winced.

"Sorry," I mumbled lifting my head.

"Don't cry!" She said to me, I only just realised I had tears streaming down my cheeks.

I blushed in embarrassment and sat back down with my face in my hands. I heard everyone leave and Aura sat down so she could rest her chin on my lap.

"Newtie, look at me," she said gently.

I reluctantly lowered my hands from my face and she sat up straight grabbing my hands in hers.

"You are the most amazing boyfriend I've ever had, and if I could go back and choose someone else I'd still choose you," she whispered to me.

I smiled slightly and nodded. I stood up and walked walked out hand-in-hand.

Lilly POV
Rora had told us to leave her and Newt to talk, I kinda felt bad for him, he obviously felt like he had competition but Rora was his and all the boys, except Bucky, knew that. Then Bucky came up to Thomas and I.

"Sorry for trying to kill your girlfriend," he said to Thomas.

"It's ok dude, I forgive you. Just don't do it again or I'll kill you myself." He said shaking Bucky's hand.

Then Aurora and Newt walk out holding hands. 

"I wonder if she knows about the mark on her arm." Bucky exclaimed.

"What mark?" I asked.

Bucky grabbed my wrist and rolled up my sleeve to reveal a mark on my arm the had all the elements on it.

"You have the elements and Rora has devil horns and angel wings." He explained.

I looked at my wrist examining the mark and when Rora came out I ran up to her and pulled up her sleeve to see her wrist to see hers.

"What's that!?" She screamed.

She didn't know she had the mark, and I just pointed it out to her. She started scratching at it trying to get it off.

"You can't remove it we were born with it!" I tried telling her.

She ignored me and scratched harder at the mark, making it bleed. Newt grabbed her arm and turned her to face him.

"Relax!" He yelled.

She jumped a bit and her breathing became heavy.

"Please relax, it's just a mark that doesn't mean anything," he said.

"Actually it means-" Bucky started.

"Not now Buck," Steve snapped.

Rora closed her eyes and relaxed, allowing Newt to wrap a bandage Wanda handed to him around her wrist.

"Whoops," I chuckled nervously.

Newt glared at me as two people came out.

"My name is T'challa and this is Shuri!" The man said. "I am king of Wakanda."

"Aurora, devil's angel," Aurora introduced herself approaching the king and standing in front of him.

"Welcome," he said doing the Wakanda salute.

Rora repeated the movement and all of us did the same.

"Glad to see you again Rora," T'challa exclaimed.

Shuri pulled Rora into a hug.

"Nice to see you too." She said hugging Shuri back.

Newt came up behind her and when she broke out of the hug he put his hand around her waist. Shuri wiggled her eyebrows.

"You have a boyfriend?" Shuri mentioned.

"Yes I do," she replied.

Shuri turned to Newt, "You break her heart I will get my brother to kill you!" She hissed.

"Shuri! He's fine, he's like one of the boys we'd describe," Rora reassured.

Shuri nodded and spotted her wrist.

"Oh come with me I can fix that up." And with that she dragged Rora and Newt away.

Aurora POV
It was good to see Shuri and T'challa again, even though I had to dig through my memories to find when I had saw them last, which was before the maze. It was nice to know someone I knew was still alive. Newt and I trailed behind Shuri who was rambling on about her new inventions, Newt still had his arm round my waist protectively like something was going to jump out and attack us. Thor then appeared next to us and started talking and I felt Newt clutch my waist a bit so I put a hand on his to make him relax.

"We are here," Shuri said coming to an abrupt stop in front of a bed.

"Lay down," she demanded and I let go of Newt to go lie down.

I glanced over at Newt who was looking Thor up and down and trying to stand taller. I put my hand out for him to take which he did once he noticed it.

"This might hurt, I just want to run some tests to see how your body is holding up," Shuri said.

I nodded and she came and strapped my ankles, wrists and waist to the bed.

"Is that necessary?" Newt asked realising my hand and stepping back.

"Yes, if the devil comes we will need a warning," Shuri explained flicking a switch. "Rora just lay as still as you can the machine will do the rest."

I laid still as the machine started. I looked around my eyes looking for Newt who was now nowhere to be seen. I realised the machine had closed me in a dome and I couldn't see anything. I started to panic, and the machine shot electricity up my arms and I screamed. It was painful every bit of it. I cried and screamed, I was done I just wanted to hug Newt.

"LET ME OUT! PLEASE LET ME OUT!" I pleaded as tears streamed continuously down my face.

I screamed again, the agony the machine was causing. It made me want to kill Shuri for putting me here and kill Newt for letting me do it. I stopped screaming, my last tear slid down my face and I smiled. The devil was here and there was nothing they could do to stop it.
