Sand. That's all we saw. We had all been walking for hours and to be honest my hip was starting to kill me. I looked over to Lilly and saw that her calf was starting to bug her as well.

Newt POV It had been a couple of days and Tommy, Lilly and I had each gotten Aurora a present for tonight's party. Tony decided to make it a masquerade party so all the girls, including my girlfriend, were out looking for dresses. The boys, or men, gods and whatever, had gone out for suits yesterday which made shopping a bit harder seeing as we didn't know what colour dresses the girls were getting. Right now though, we were setting up for when they got home. I planned to surprise Aurora with my gift at the end of the party under the moonlight, as Thomas suggested, so that's what I planned on doing. I set up a tunnel of heart lights that I planned to flick on at night and hid the present I'd planned to give Aurora when it was the right time. Then I went back inside to help set up.
Aurora POV I was SO excited. It was my birthday and the extremely late welcome party! My ankle was practically fully healed as well as my wrist and everything else Jane had done to me that day. School yesterday sucked. We had PE last period and then I had detention, again.
"What about this one?" Lilly asked picking up a purple dress that went to her ankles.
"Nah, you suit something with more of a 'look at me' style." I explained still flicking through dresses.
"What about this?" Nat asked coming out the change room with a crimson mermaid tail dress.
"Nat, that's such a you thing to wear but I think Wanda has settled on red," I chuckled as Wanda ran over with a crimson red dress which flared out into a ball gown look.
"What?" Wanda giggled after seeing Nat's face. "That dress is nice by the way."
I searched through the rack again when I came across a black dress.
"Here," I called to Nat, taking it and throwing it to her. "Try this."
She tried it on and it was a perfect fit and looked nice on her as well. Nat thanked me while examining herself in the mirror that was nearby.
"Least I can help someone find a dress," I mumbled.
I wasn't having any luck with dresses. None I liked seemed to be in my size, I wanted to look nice enough to fit in but people to notice me as well and I wanted Newt to like the dress, seeing as he is my boyfriend.
"Newt's going to love you in whatever you wear," Wanda said from next to me.
"OH MY GOSH!" Lilly squealed. "LOOK!"
She pulled out two dresses. One was purple and one was blue. They were both practically identical except for the arms and we were both in awe.
