Aurora POV
I woke up in tears yet again and my arms had scratch marks up and down them. I looked to my right to see Newt sat on my beanbag, his hand loosely holding my own. I smiled slightly and slipped my hand out of his and crawled out of bed, making sure that I wouldn't wake Newt up. I snuck into the bathroom and locked the door. I looked at myself in the mirror, the scratches on my arms were bleeding and the cut on my wrist from before was bleeding worse than before. Suddenly the bathroom door opened as Newt walked in.

"I'm guessing you forgot about the hole in the door," Newt chuckled before seeing the scratches, then his facial expressions changed and his voice became worried. "Aurora! Your arms!"

He ran over to me and supported my trembling figure as I sobbed into his chest, soaking his shirt with my tears.

"I'm guessing another nightmare, huh," Newt mumbled stroking my hair.

I nodded. "Yeah."

"Wanna talk about it?" He asked.

I nodded again. "It was the same as usual, except after the WCKD thing and then injecting more of that liquid and the beach thing, the nightmare morphed into the orphanage and Alice was stood out the front and I-I was in 'devil mode'. She stepped forward and I-I told her to run, but she didn't. Instead, she walked towards me and I-I realised I had a d-dagger in each hand. She kept coming closer and closer until I through the daggers; then it ended and I woke up." I explained, trying not to sob or sniffle through.

"It's ok, cry as long as you need to, I'm right here," Newt reassured.

I took that as my chance to sink to the ground and I felt Newt move around to grab things out from under the sink. Then a cold cloth made contact with my skin and I shivered.

"Don't worry love, I'm just making sure these wounds are clean," Newt mumbled.

"They are scratches, not wounds Newtie," I giggled.

"Is that a giggle I hear?" Newt smiled continuing to clean the scratches on my arms and the wound on my wrist. "Besides this one on your wrist is a wound."

"Oh shush," I mumbled nuzzling into his chest.

We sat in silence as Newt patched up everything. Then, he picked me up and carried me back to bed.

"Sleep." He demanded quietly. "I'll be right here if you have another nightmare."

"I don't wanna sleep," I whined sitting back up.

Newt thought for a bit then smirked, moving to sit next to me.

"Ok, then tell me why you went over to Parker's after we all saw that memory thingy?" He asked.

"W-what? I-I don't go to his place," I stuttered.

"Yeah, you did. I saw you remember, I'm just asking why him of all people? Why didn't you just move to my room or something? I would've happily sat with you." He chuckled.

"I ran out the compound and wound up at his apartment. Nothing happened though, I just told him about the memory." I mumbled looking down. "And I didn't come to you because you would probably bug me about it."

"Can you talk to me about it?" Newt asked nudging me gently.

I shook my head and rested it on his shoulder.

"Ok, I don't want to prove you right by bugging you but I want you to know I'm here if you need to talk to someone," He mumbled placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Later, right now I want to sleep and we have the formal tomorrow night," I told him, my eyes getting heavy as I spoke.

"Ok love, rest now, talk another time." He mumbled grabbing ahold of my hand.
